Marshall Mathers LP Vs Reasonable Doubt.

Now that Nas vs Jay thread has really brought out the hater in people, in the culmination of a dude saying MMLP > Reasonable Doubt. Now, I know Jay aint what he used to be, but to ignore the greatness and sheer classic that is Reasonable Doubt, especially compared to MMLP, which is not universally hailed as a classic (I personally think it's as close as you can get to a classic, but be honest how much rotation is that still gettin) is pure stan material. The Jay hate is really getting out of hand on this site, for reasons not even to do with his music.

Reasonable Doubt IMO, is Top 10 album of all time.

Your opinion is your opinion, I can't try change that. I disagree with the ones I highlighted, none of Pac's albums are up to Reasonable Doubt, MATW is his closest, but All Eyez On Me? Black on Both sides...really? I mean I'm a huge Mos fan but naaaaaaah. Jay lyrically on Reasonable Doubt was at his peak, IMO Black Album lyrically > Blueprint lyrically.

ok, just wondering why people like either album? so we dont just get the usual > argument. Lyrically I think Jay is on some other s**t, and in terms of subject matter as well, he humanizes the hustler, doesnt glorify it, but mentions it heights and pitfalls. I think the production on Reasonable Doubt is criminally underated as well, Politics As Usual, Feeling It, Dead Presidents II, DEvils etc.

I agree with you, but believe it or not, look at the poll results, this is why I made the topic. Gives a decent gauge at how this site has changed.

As a fan of both, I've been listening to Reasonable Doubt religiously lately. And I voted for MMLP when we had the poll.

But seriously, you guys need to sit back, you're crazy for ever thinking you can compare the content these guys are talking about. It's like comparing apples to oranges. Okay, they are rappers, but they are not the same in no way. Yeah, they give you this feeling or "taste," and occasionally you buy more oranges than apples.

But Reasonable Doubt is the apple, you know? An apple a day keeps the doctor away. That apple just seems more healthier.
