Chocolate milk post workout is one of the best things to consume. I'd probably opt for that over a protein shake. Glass of choc milk + chicken, veggies and rice is my shiet.

What about protein bars, is that a suitable replacement?

Im just worried about the arsenic, lead, and mercury is a lot of the protein powders. The article didnt say anything about protein bars so if anyone has any knowledge on that and can weigh in I would appreciate it.

No need to worry about the metals in the proteins. I'm sure some of the foods you are eating now contain more metals than some of the protein powders.

Bars I've seen that are high in protein contain 'whey'.

That hilarious that peeps are getting spooked by that one article. To bad science doesn't work on these blockheads. :nope:

Oh look we have a mister know it all...im sure you have a perfect body and must be a personal trainer with hundred of clients. You should make a workout dvd with all of your knowledge that you possess so that us guys who just started working out dont have to ask any questions.

He was trying to point out that protein bars contain whey protein which is the same thing as the powder that people are afraid to take now.
