It's a lot different in soccer because of how spread out the competitive leagues are. No one watches the MLS. So think about it... if you're a huge soccer fan living in America, and say, you follow the English Premier League more than anything and you fall in love with it... you're going to start pulling for England, no?

It's different when you're talking about AMERICAN SPORTS LEAGUES.
Why would you support England? I follow the premier league and I have some favorite players i like but f**k if I support England or any of the countries the players I like are from.

Um, born in Texas, first game I ever went to was an mavericks game, followed the team, moved to minnesota, can prolly figure the rest out. Twins=Chokes, Wild=Suck , Vikings=Chokes,U of M=Suck, Mavs=Chokes. Clearly I accept the fact and move on. Dont lose all hope and start supporting the Lakers, Yanks, Brazil, Red Wings, and the Cowboys.
Me neither. I've been a Dolphins, Heat, Canes, Marlins fan my entire life. Didn't switch over to the Cowboys, Lakers, or Yankees.

I didn't stop being a Brazil fan in 06 when they embarrassed themselves.

I WAS RAISED AND TAUGHT THE GAME OF SOCCER BY WATCHING BRAZIL'S NATIONAL SOCCER TEAM / FC BARCELONA CLUB GAMES.

Therefore you or nobody else that respects your stance has ANY RIGHT to judge me on my choice in being a Brazil fan. It's the SAME THING (yes I've been to Maracana stadium to see the Brazilians play)

When I grew up and got into soccer, MY FATHER was already a Brazil fan and I started off as a soccer fan watching their South American qualification games.

I'm 21 years old, that's 21 seasons of my sports teams and 5 world cups...

I've seen:

Dolphins win 0 titles.
Heat win 1 title.
Canes football win 3 titles. (NOTE: Was 1 and 3 years old for two of them, so that doesn't really count)
Marlins win 2 titles.
Brazil win 2 World Cups. (was 5 years old for the first)

If that's a bandwagon resume then wow. Just wow.

Sorry... mostly referring to the others.

I just find it hilarious that one could dare question my fanhood. I've been a season ticket holder for the Dolphins since I came to America in the 90s. I've sat through nothing but misery, and I've never missed a regular season game... never missed an NFL draft... never missed attending at least a few training camps, etc.

I was raised into being a Brazil fan. So what?

Plus you admitted, if Jamaica ever played Brazil, you'd root for your home country. Makes sense.....

Yep. Ain't nothing really... some people are just bitter and miserable so they'd do anything to try and get under someone's skin on the internet.

Normally I reserve I judgement on coaches, but Finley & Clark should've never seen the pitch unless subbing. Edu earned a starting nod with his form in this tourney. Findley provided pace & that's all. The defending was spotty as usual, so Edu's ability to play box to box was needed badly. All in all it's a disappointment considering this is prob the final run for a good US side. Charlie Davies would've been very useful,if he wasn't injured. In the next four yrs, they have to find a consistant attacking fwd & better play together from the back 5. Hopefully the players who are still in the MLS will carry some form into the league season & make it watchable. I expect LD to go back to Everton also. He's earned it. Also I think M. Bradley is gonna move to a bigger team as well. Good showing by him. Coulda been a longer run, but a solid showing by th US.
