That's all I was trying to say with my rating, dude is the definition of beast in terms of YAC, he's strong, agile, he'll put the hand in your face, he'll break your ankles... everything.
anquan boldin is the toughest player in the league
i'll give u those 4 i only jus could remember White cuz it was so ridiculous that Madden developers have fallen in love wit this above average #1 receiver...but as far as Boldin is concerned, he's a great receiver no doubt BUT like i said, he's not a top 5 receiver in the league in my opinion...i mean Marshall, Fitz and Johnson are all better than him, and i would still take Reggie Wayne and Steve Smith over him as well, hell even Randy Moss(ionno why ppl seem to think he's really fallen off, he still had a great season)...and for the record i said he should still be over 90 but 94+ should be elite guys and he's not that
leaving fitz out of the conversation - because he and boldin haven't yet played out of the same pass-heavy system in their careers - each and i mean EACH of those other guys are either #1-on-the-depth-chart flankers that otherwise include a bunch of relative nobodies or they are randy moss/reggie wayne who have brady and manning respectively at the qb position. nobody hit a homerun twice in a row like the cards did getting boldin and fitz in consecutive years, and there probably hasn't been another team in recent memory that had to LEGIT flankers or at least two guys capable of filling that role except for maybe the harrison/wayne tandem in its hey. even then, like i said, you have the best qb in the league who for all appearances quite possibly makes these wideouts look much better than they actually are. they didn't have to deal with the qb carousel that boldin and fitz did until warner came to town - remember, he didn't give them a full season until 07 didn't exactly light it up until 08.
now with the scene set - how does someone who isn't elite do #1 numbers, IN SOMETIMES-SHORT SEASONS, before and even after he is relegated to the #2 spot? how does someone who isn't elite notch nearly half of his career recieving yards...over 3,000 if you're interested, AFTER he has the ball in his hands; AFTER he's been hit. how does someone who's not elite consistently rank near the top in his position in catches, yards, yac (both average and total) from the #2 spot?
i defy you to make cases for why boldin can do that and still not be considered elite...and when you can...i concede.
at least we can agree that roddy white is overrated.
Miles Austin been in the league 4 years, has one good season and he should be 90's as far as rating? ha, WHATEVER.
Let him put up 1000+ yards 2 more years straight, then he can get that rating.
