The difference between saying it in Orlando and saying it in LA is that he believed it when he said it in Orlando. They had just won both games their and were heading home for two games. This time around they got pushed around in game 1 but responded in game 2. They stole home court but some things still remain like KG hasn't been a factor so far in this series. And even some good things they did in game 2 is that going to carry them over for the rest of this series? Clearly this is a different Laker team. You saw the way Gasol pushed Perkins to the floor. Or the only time you saw KG really fired up was walking back to his bench high fiving his coach for that time out he called. Gasol and Bynum are just going to be more aggressive as the series goes on.
Garnett still has a big impact on the game, I believe it was in the 4th QTR, when he cleared Kobe and Gasol and Rondo got the easy layup. Those are the things KG brings to the table besides feeding a stat sheet. Thats what separates KG's contribution and impact on a game than any other PF except Duncan.
Bynum is a momentum player, and Gasol plays great off the ball on the glass, both lack the toughness to perform under pressure, yea they'll make a basket here and there but thats not the point.
I think I can agree with Pierce and I dont think its going back to LA either.
