Judging by the Article, Kolby's a pretty no-nonsense, hard-ass type of character. But on a pretty young team, would that really rub those guys the right way? I'd always thought that McNabb's easy-going attitude really helped w/the team...
If anybody on this website is familiar with Peyton Manning, which i'm sure they are, he plays with the same kind of attitude. To the point he's arguing and almost f!ghting with the guys on his team. I'm sure Drew Brees doesn't really take no s**t either, he lights a fire under his teams a.ss if they're playing like s**t. That's why they respect him, and he commands the huddle. If your teammates don't respect you, and see that you got that fire up in you that don't let you quit, then have fun tryna get them to f**kin' play or block for you.
s**t, for all i know, all them sacks and injuries McNabb took could've been his O Line's fault cause he said some slick s**t to them in the locker room. I don't know. I'm not in the Eagles facility, i don't know what goes on in there, i just know what i see with my own eyes, and Kolb don't f**k around. His overall attitude and style of play, with this team (which he's been a backup for like 4 f**king years and played like 4 times), is amazing to me how they're basically being written off and predicted to be last in the division. I just don't see it.
as far as his attitude rubbing his teammates the wrong way, i don't know. It's football. If you can't take criticism, get the f**k off the field. As the team captain you gotta be able to grab somebody by their f**kin facemask, tell em step it up or go the f**k home. It's a respect thing. A true teammate or friend will tell their boy that their level of play has dropped and so on and so forth, keepin em on top of their game. With that said, he also has to lead by example, which he said he fully plans on doing, so, i'ma give him the benefit of the doubt. Now, if his play doesn't match his attitude, that's different.
He didn't earn all these cats respect in the locker room for nothing, he been carrying himself this way for years, just about everybody on the team was basically patiently waiting for the day McNabb got kicked to the curb. More then a few of them said it themselves.
