nobody will ever compare to jordan.. thats my opinion because i grew up watching him bend other teams over on the regular. you cant really compare different eras even though i still think hes gonna be the GOAT till 2012 when the world ends

I'm listening to the interview now and the article and title (not the op fault) is misleading. Dan asked Chuck is Kobe in the conversation with Jordan when it comes to being clutch. That makes me disagree even more with Chuck but it's his opinion and I'm ok with that.

I don't even think Kobe puts himself in the same conversation with Jordan. So who gives a s**t what Barkley has to say?

Although in an interview with Magic Johnson, he said he wants to be in "that" VIP room...meaning he wants to win a certain amount of rings so he doesn't have to be compared to the likes of LeBron, Wade, and whoever else.

Barkley speaks the truth, Yes kobe is good, but he is not close to Jordan in any way, People forget how good jordan was, Jordan was unreal on the court, Kobe is guardable and can be shut down. Jordan made the nba defense change

Kobe himself said it was a lucky shot...So if im Dwayne and someone asks me if the shot was lucky and i co-sign Kobe (who already said the shot was a lucky shot) and say yea i think it was lucky that means im knocking him even though he said himself it was lucky?

Like he would ever say "Jordan is better than Kobe" while he's coaching the son of a b**ch... c'mon now... that's just means for tension between the two.

Kobes' style and swagger from his shot, to his dribble, to his interviews, to his gum chewing is modeled after Jordan. At least he picked the right person to bite.

Changes the whole dynamic of this discussion. Phil seems to think so and he's the greatest coach of all time who coached them both. I'll take his word over Sir Taco any day.

Why dont people just stop comparing kobe and jordan...lebron is going to surpass kobe ne ways if he wins championships. Until that time comes no1 is jordan. If lebron wins 6 and gets as many awards and accolades as jordan...we can discuss but until this...nor kobe or lebron are ne where near His Airness!!!

I made that comment because you said Kobe was a "poor man's Jordan". Phil has never said who's better. He just says that they excel better than one another in different areas. He would smack you because Kobe isn't a poor mans anything.

He got to the top of the key (best seat in the house), jumped off one but squared his shoulders, followed through, and shot it a tad too hard. That's not luck.

If he gets to that same spot and throws it up backwards and it falls....that's luck.

There is no such thing as a lucky shot. Either you hit it, or you dont. Circumstances and luck are two different things, banking off the backboard and the ball awkwardly dropping in is not luck. Luck itself does not exist, it was just the right circumstance. Plus Kobe's ability to hit 6 or 7 game winners would reflect that he has tremendous skill.

Ever heard of being modest. It didn't look like he was throwing up a pray to me. Those are what you call lucky shots. Post a pray and we can talk.

And no because you're talking about one shot, that could have been lucky. Sir Bacon said some which indicates that he gets lucky on more than one occasion. I don't think that's true so my "what's the basis of that comment" senses kick in.
