If it was ONLY based on talent, Welker would have been good with Miami and Cassell would have made his receivers slightly better at KC. Not the case in either scenario. It's not a bad thing, I'd never take away ANYTHING that the Patriots have done, I'm just dropping my observation. Some people will see where i'm coming from and some won't. I'm rooting for a Pats comeback though being that I picked them to win.
he was a good punt returner, which is what sparked our interest in him in the first place, and that was the style of play we put him in as WR, Edelman just happens to have similar speed, and abilities to use his blockers, I'm not sayin it isnt the system, but ppl use that excuse all the time to discredit ne1 on the pats...
also Cassel put up 400 more yards than Thigpen
he came up 1000 shy of when he was on the pats, but they didnt even get their best receiver till halfway thru the season..
