IN MOVIES LIKE THIS, THE EMOTIONAL CONNECTION IS NOT TO THE MAIN CHARACTER.
IT IS TO THE PEOPLE WHOM THAT CHARACTER IS CONNECTED. MY ONLY IRK WITH THIS
MOVIE WAS AT THE BEGINNING...I KEPT SAYING TO MY SELF "DUDE IS A MARINE...BUT HE
AIN'T DISCIPLINED WORTH A s**t". IF HE WOULDA STAYED CLOSE TO THE SCIENTIST
IN THE JUNGLE AND NOT WANDERED OFF...HE WOULDA BEEN OUT OF THAT s**t.

I know right... Transformers 2 is unwatchable when it comes to the action scenes, watched it in theaters twice and the movements of the bots were so fast it looked cluttered and I couldn't tell which part was who's. This is another reason why I appreciated this film so much, Avatar's action mixed with it's top of the line visuals are truly unmatchable.:agreement6::agreement6:
Totally.

The action sequences are atrocious in Transfoirmers

Bay talks of "f**king the frame" as his style. What that turns out to really mean is "f**king up the frame"

Word Transformers 2 was almost unwatchable, Avatar was f**king dopeness. I already seen that joint 2 times, once in 2D another in 3D, going on a third soon at an IMAX.

Well, if y'all know me well, you know how much I absolutely LOATHE Transformers 2.

Avatar, to say the least, is lightyears ahead of that movie.

He was wondering off so much, because in the Avatar body he could actually walk, so he wanted to explore badly.

All this hype about it being a new experience of 3d and all this s**t was bs
there was rarely a scene that impressed me in 3d

Um, dude... that's the point. It's not supposed to be the super-crappy gimmciky 3D in which stuff just pokes at you, or somebody is pointing at you. They were smart how the used it, because they used the 3D to immerse you in the world. So, after abut 20 minutes, I kinda forgot that it was 3D.

Try to watch it in IMAX 3D. It's almost like 3D in HD.

Whats the limit for language in a pg-13 movie cuz avatar had WAYYYY more cursing than any pg13 movie I remember. They must have let Cameron slide again like they did with the painting scene in titanic.

I'm listening to a podcast with some visual effects guys and one of the guys that worked on avatar said there was at least another hour and 30 minutes of cut footage.

and most of the character developing scenes people are asking for are in that cut footage

that's what happens when a movie is so long. people need to understand that an average movie that's cut down to a hour and 1/2 had at least another hour cut out. so for movie that 2 1/2 hours long they're cutting out basically a whole another movie!!! I hope the directors cut is over 3 hours!!!!:dancingcool:
