Only the last 30 years?

Well, then that wouldn't include "Taxi Driver", "The Last Waltz" and "Mean Streets" for Scorsese... Three of his legendary works.

And it would completely dismiss all Four of Coppola's classics "The Godfather", "The Conversation", "The Godfather II" and "Apocalypse Now".

Completely excluding the 70's was a bad idea for this thread...

But that considered, it would still be Scorsese considering "Goodfellas", "Raging Bull", "The Departed", "No Direction Home", "The Last Temptation of Christ", "The King of Comedy", "The Color of Money", "Cape Fear", "The Aviator", ect.

I agree..those names are definitely the elite in terms of all time directors but its missing one person, and Scorsese and Scott are the only 2 that would make it in the list of last 30 years...

However, the most decorated person over the last 3 decades has been Steven Spielberg and theres nobody even close in terms of quantity + quality of films. I'd put Cameron and Lucas with Spielberg as most creative minds but the other 2 havent put out as much work as he did within the same time span and also havent showed as much range in terms of different types of films.

In fact, if you add the title Director/Producer, there would be no denying that Spielberg is at the top...

Oh yeah, Ridley Scott made the first Alien...Cameron did the sequel

@ Ridley Scott being one of the Greatest Directors of All Time... Or even one of the Elite of the last 30 years.

And I'm a huge "Blade Runner" fan by the way.

actually they don't suck. Very well made movies with a lot of conscious material that the average mind just can't grasp. Shyamalan can tap into ur mind if ur a conscious enough person.
