In what has become a crowded top of the NFC East, the Eagles will make the familiar trip up the New Jersey Turnpike this Sunday to play their last regular season game in Giants Stadium. Tied with the Dallas Cowboys atop the division at 8-4, the Eagles face off against a 7-5 Giants team that lost handily in Philadelphia but the roles are reversed the second time around for the Eagles' third Sunday-night game of the season. After back-to-back losses to the Cowboys and Chargers, the Eagles have rebounded with a three-game winning streak (their longest of the season), and are coming off a resounding 34-7 road victory over the Atlanta Falcons. Wide receiver DeSean Jackson is expected to be ready to return to the field for the Eagles, who have the opportunity prove that they will be a team to be reckoned with down the stretch.
On the other hand, the Giants can rebuild what appeared to be a sinking ship with a home victory against the Eagles. Having lost five of six, the Giants found a way to win last week against the Cowboys, despite getting outgained by almost 100 yards and only possessing the ball for over 21 minutes. The most positive sign for the Giants was that Brandon Jacobs finally exploded for the big play – a 74-yard catch and run for a touchdown. He also added a 1-yard touchdown run. Although the Giants have lost their last three games against the Eagles, if they can grind out a victory at home Sunday night, there's a chance that will create a three-way deadlock atop the division.
