With all these P. Rivers fans on this thread, i want to hear one of these guys say...."the Drew Brees trade was a smart thing to do". I stop being a charger fan ever since that day. Go Dallas
if i recall drewfus wasn't traded, he was a free agent and we chose to keep rivers as drew was coming off a nasty injury..

and just so you know, rivers has taken the chargers further than drew ever did and its arguable that drew had a better team..

and another thing, we are glad u aint a charger fan u b**ch made ho... stupid a.ss bandwagon fans like you are not needed

and yes ill say it for you
LETTING DREW BREES GO WAS THE SMART THING TO DO

rivers is a more complete qb.. has the intangibles that drew could only dream of.

man i just read that post.. ur right rivers does remind me of steve young a bit. with the confidence..i think thats why i like rivers.. he was a high drafted qb behind a good qb but just kept his mouth shut until he got the chance, didnt complain and cry like some of these c*nts out here. much like my favourite qb ever: Mr. Young.

The Chargers have placed defensive lineman Ogemdi Nwagbuo on the "Reserve-Injured" list due to an ankle injury and signed defensive tackle Antonio Garay from the New York Jets' practice squad. Nwagbuo had played in all 12 games this season, starting five. He had 25 tackles, one sack, four tackles for loss, three quarterback pressures and two batted passes.

For those of you who still shudder at the thought of Tony Romo's botched hold at the end of a playoff loss to Seattle nearly three years ago, read no further. In an attempt to reverse the downward spiral field goal kicker Nick Folk finds himself in these days, the Cowboys used Romo as the holder in Wednesday's practice, he took the place of punter Mat McBriar, who has mishandled two of Folk's missed attempts in recent weeks. "We feel like we need to do something, whether it's the whole operation itself or some of the parts,'' head coach Wade Phillips said. "We've got to get more confidence from our kicker. We need to do better. "There's a possibility we'll make a change this week as far as the holder is concerned.''

Exactly...

and like i said...I just watched the story of the 81 bolts and learned more about dan fouts...and suddenly i see so many similarities...fouts was mean and wasnt scared to get on any of his players if they were f**kin up or any on the opposing team for that matter...

Fouts fire + Youngs confidence + Dan Marino's mechanics & accuracy = Philip Rivers...

Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers has finally entered the NFL MVP race. "I think he should," running back LaDainian Tomlinson said. "What he's done, in terms of touchdown-interception ratio and completion percentage and winning football games makes him deserving. It's wrong if he's not considered a legitimate candidate." Rivers feels he can get better though. "I've been as consistent as I've been, but there's still room for improvement," Rivers said after Wednesday's practice. "The goal is to keep ascending, which is what we strive to do."

Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett missed a second straight practice Thursday because of concussion-related symptoms. Bennett did not report any problems during the loss against the Giants, but he's since complained of headaches, fogginess and that "his eyes were hurting," coach Wade Phillips said. Bennett has seen a specialist and continues to be monitored.
