Hi Steven,

Ahead of the release of "The Blueprint 3" Sept. 11, here is a look at Jay-Z's albums that have sold at least a million copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan:

5,299,000, "Vol. 2...Hard Knock Life"
3,345,000, "Black Album"
3,093,000, "Vol. 3...Life and Times of S. Carter"
2,608,000, "The Blueprint"
2,521,000, "Dynasty Roc La Familia (2000 -)"
2,069,000, "The Blueprint 2: The Gift and the Curse"
1,934,000, "Collision Course" (with Linkin Park)
1,514,000, "Reasonable Doubt"
1,510,000, "Kingdom Come"
1,412,000, "In My Lifetime, Vol. 1"
1,131,000, "American Gangster"

Jay-Z has notched 10 No. 1s on the Billboard 200. With nine of those logged this decade, he easily claims the lead for most leaders since 2000. Kenny Chesney, Eminem and R. Kelly rank second with five each in that span.

In one year (end of 2003) Get Rich Or Die Trying had already sold 1/4 of Jay Z's lifetime discography. I mean with that kind of movement Jay had to be thinking of stabbing Un Rivera again...

At the Rate 50's going now.. I'm willing to bet that IF he ever hits 11 albums, his numbers won't look like Jiggas.

50 will never go platinum again.. He's a "Gold" rapper now

But those numbers are crazy none the less. Stop comparing these two, 50 puts out music year round, jay just makes albums no mixtapes, I think if 50 didnt do mixtapes he would be more anticipated, but dude puts out album quality mixtapes year round what do you expect, he puts out this album and its just like a mixtape to us why go buy it when we get the same s**t from him for free??? this is his mistake

to tell u the truth when was the last time jay really did a worldwide tour? i dont really recall him doing them. 50 did really put a lot of his artist on overseas. i mean look at game going overseas to do shows and when g-unit was together they were always over there doing shows. 50 does outshine jay in the business aspect i also think he outshines him in the music aspect but thats my personal opinion. i think jay is a hater and mad because he opened the door to all these business ventures but when other want to expand or move it further he tries to c*ck block forreal. 50 did expand the hip hop market to being global as did kanye.
