wu were always ahead of their time. this was the first joint i ever copped and is my favourite album to date. it is quite possibly the only album that i can listen to from beginning to end without skipping. every song is on point. the wu do not get enough recognition for this album. in my own personal opinion i think this sh*ts on any reasonable doubt, illmatic or ready to die...

I say it all the time, 36 chambers, Enta Da Stage, Illmatic, Ready to Die, and Midnight Maruders saved East coast hip-hop and NY hiphop for that matter, all of these are landmarks of 93 and 94. That was a lot of dope music. Those were some hard albums to upstage at that point.
