certified CLASSIC, I still remember the first Wu track I heard and actually liked it (m.e.t.h..o.d man) - was good to hear something different at the time from the whole west coast craze (doggystyle/ the chronic)

Illmatic is almost better but none of the artists in the group never made a solo album better than illmatic. Illmatic> Any album from Wu Tang accept Wu-tang Clan - Enter The Wu-tang (36 Chambers)

Definitely a classic. 36 chambers is probably the Wu at it's best.
And the great thing about this LP...just about all of the Wu solo projects, at least the 1st outing for all of em, were just like another full-on Wu-Tang project. GZA's Liquid Swords, Raekwon's Only Built For Cuban Linx, Ghostface's Ironman, ODB's Return to the 36 Chambers, and even Method Man's Tical. All of those are on par with 36 chambers, with Tical being the weakest of the group, IMHO. I dig Meth, and think he flows better than most, but the group effort on all the other LPs put them over the top. Not that Tical is bad by any means, but someone gotta be the low man on the list. That first group of Wu records is pretty much untouchable, quality-wise.

yea....if anybody gives this less than a 5, something is extremly wrong wit them. but i might let them slide with a four. possibly my favorite album. can tell u its a freaking classsssic. give your thoughts on this masterpiece. and my fault if this one has been done since i didnt see it.
The thing i've always loved about Wu Tang is that they are truly from the streets and they've always kept it real. They've always rapped about what they know and still maintain an intelect that is amazing. I'm sick of all these mainstream fake thugs that try to make money off of exploiting street life and glorifying it as something that our MTV generation of fifteen year old white kids should look up to. Wu Tang never glorified it, but they had to do what it took to survive.
