I have no complaints with Relapse 1. I think it's an amazing album if not a classic. I'd say it's em's 3rd best album. Say what you want but that s**t is nice I liked the direction he went with it.
Now, saying that. I don't want Relapse 2 to be just like the first one. I wouldn't mind seeing Em get even more crazy. But still Underground/stay wide awake/3 am/hello/medicine ball/deja vu/and beatiful on one album is nothing to complain about. People are just unhappy cuz it's so different than what we were used to out of em. He was deff on some sobered up other s**t. But I was feelin it. It's a more light hearted yet still crazy version of em that had a lot more focus and crisp a.ss flows than any of his other albums have had in the past.
Also. .em himself said that he's not angry like he's been his whole life so that is going to reflect in his music. The energy is still there but the anger isn't, even in crazy songs like underground. .for some reason he doesn't even sound pissed off when he's saying all that s**t. .He just sounds like hes madd hyped. Thats what makes relapse so great in my opinion.
I was going to prop you, but apparently I propped you already recently.
I don't understand how people can hate on Relapse. It was definitelly an album only eminem could have done, and I'm thankfull he didn't just make another sslp or mmlp or tes. Those albums were already recorded, I don't want to listen to something that I listened to 7-10 years ago. And in the even that I did want to, for whatever reason, I'd just listen to one of them again.
f**k is the point of repeating yourself? Doing something new means a lot more. That's also why I'm hoping Relapse 2 isn't just a continuation of Relapse, but that's the only reason.
