Yeah, I don't know about best... but as far as worst: Canibus. He sounds like a 180 pound insect that smokes non stop. Other than that, I like him.

any famous rapper really, they're famous because they have the ability to stand out

I feel that's actually the most important thing for them to become famous

a rapper can have amazing lyrics but wont get recognized if his voice sounds like any other person on the street

Kanye
Jay
Big
Wayne
Eminem
50 cent

compare them to someone like Memphis Bleek, it's no wonder why he hasn't blown up

So if you seen Em or Cass in person u wud say "hey i like your voice when u rap"?
I've been approached during a cypher and was told I have a great rap voice, and I didn't see that as a s3xual advance at all. If you have insecurities of masculinity, that's on you. Doesn't make us gay.

And for the guys with some sense, thank you for finally entering this thread!

Chuck D might have the most distinct and powerful voice...back in the day his music sounded like a political activist speaking at a rally and you were just like damn

Ice Cube has a raw and aggressive voice that is immediately identifiable, s**t his voice used to scare the s**t out of America back in the early 90's

Even 2Pac had a distinct and unique voice that damn well could reach the people.

Those 3 are probably the most powerful imo because they all sounded like the political and social voices of the black community in the late 80's/early 90's and they had the power to reach the people through rhetoric.

So your saying that Ja Rule voice doesn't sound raw?
Ja's voice is just ok - it doesn't really stand out to me - it doesn't evoke any thoughts or feelings in me about the rapper and the music - i'd say i prefer a certain style of voice and Ja doesn't have it

for example i like camrons voice cuz he sounds funny along with his lyrics

and like i said earlier in this thread i like stickys voice because his voice suits his lyrics he sounds like a sheisty person and his lyrics reflect that

damn, can't believe im the first to say this but Stack Bundles has/had a great voice for rapping, especially the hard tracks. Even my friends who don't like rap can listen to this guy.
His ad-libs are crazy too.

delivery woulda been a better approach prolly.... lotta homophobic and insecure dudes on sites, will never change

u looking for that commanding voice/pressence though

scarface hands down, some peeps have similar content, but can't pull it off with nerdy voices.... spice 1 comes to mind as well

peeps like dmx come off to forced for my liking and don't have the same story telling ability as some others
