age don't have nothing to do with whether a certain artist is good or not. I love 2pac, and I was 7 when he was k!lled. What the f**k does that tell you? That alone discontinues your argument...
It tells me that you really to young to even make sense and explains why you said this ridiculous shh* in the first place . No way in hell you could understand how BI changed the game and you were still in diapers when he dropped. No way you can understand how Illmatic BUSTED thru out of nowhere while n*ggaz was rappin' like KrisKross when you were being potty-trained at the time. These dudes albums were more than classic, THEY CHANGED THE GAME!!! PERIOD! 10 yrs from now when some 18 yr old comes and tells you Lil' Wayne is better than Marshall, you'll see what I mean.

BI even made TRACY LEE's joint HOT! This Ni** aint ever even came close to being luke warm...:cool-smiley-009:

I got a new mouth to feed, I'm due south with keys
Y'all pick seeds out y'all weed, I watch cowards bleed
Motherf**ker please, it's my block with my rocks
f**k the hip-hop, them one-two's and it don't stop
Me and my n*gga Lance, took him and Cease in vans
Bought ten bricks, four pounds of weed plants
from Branson, now we lamp in, twelve room mansions
b***hes get nekkid off Get Money, Playas Anthem
Don't forget One More Chance and, my other hits
Other s**t n*ggaz spit be counterfeit
Robbing come naturally, in and out like f**kin rapidly
Pass the gat to me
Make his chest rest where his back should be
f**kin blasphemy, blast me, your family rest in coffins
Often, Franquiza, far from soft or fragile, uh
Play hard like Reggie Miller, rapper slash dope dealer
slash guerilla, slash illest turn iller

But still, age has nothing to do with whether a certain artist's music is good. That argument is a str8 up copout. Illmatic came out the same year Ready To Die did and I f**king love Illmatic, every track off that album is great to me... Me Against The World came out around 94/95, and that's my favorite hiphop album.. f**k it, that is my favorite album period. Out of any genre of music...

run rabbit run

Some days I just wanna up and call it quits,
I feel like I'm surrounded by a wall of bricks,
Everytime I go to get up I just fall in piss,
My life's like one great big ball of s**t,
If I could just put it all in all I spit,
Instead I always try to swallow it,
Instead of staring at this wall and s**t,
While I sit writers block sick of all this s**t,
Can't call it s**t.
All I know is I'm about to hit the wall,
If I have to see another one of mom's alcoholic fits.
This is it, last straw, thats all, thats it.
I ain't dealing with another f**king politic.
I'm like a skillet, bubblin' until it filters up
I'm about to k!ll it, I can feel it building up,
Blow this building up, I've been sealed enough,
My cup runneth over and filled it up,
The pen explodes and busts, ink spills my guts
You think all I do is stand here and feel my nuts,
But I'm a show you what, you gonna feel my rush,
You don't feel it then it must be too real to touch,
Feel to touch, I'm about to tear s**t up,
Goosebumps, yeah I'm make your hair sit up,
Yeah sit up, I'm a tell you who I be,
I'm make you hate me cause you ain't me,
You wait, it ain't to late to finally see,
What you close minded f**ks were too blind to see,
Whoever finds me, is gonna get a finders fee,
Out this world and ain't no one out their mind as me,
You need peace of mind, well here's a piece of mine,
All I need's a line, but sometimes,
I don't always find the words to rhyme,
To express how I'm really feeling at that time,
Yeah sometimes, sometimes, sometimes,
just sometimes, Its always me,
how dark can these hallways be?
The clock strikes midnight, 1, 2, then half past 3,
This half a.ss rhyme with this half a.ss piece of paper, (tear)
I'm desperate at my desk
if I could just get the rest, of this s**t off my chest, again,
stuck in this slum, Cant think of nothing,
f**k I'm stumped, but wait here comes something,
Nope, it's not good enough, scribble it out, new pad,
crinkle it up, and throw that s**t out,
I'm fizzling now, thought I had figured it out,
Ball's in my court but I'm scared to dribble it out,
But I'm afraid, why am I afraid?
why am I a slave to this trade?
Sign that I'll spit to the grave, real enough to rattle you up,
Want me to flip it? I can rip it any style you want.
I'm a switch hitter, b***h,
jimmy smith ain't a quitter,
I'm a sit here till I get enough
For me to finally hit a f**king boiling point,
Put some oil in your joints,
Flip the coin b***h come get destroyed,
An MC's worst dream: I make them tense
they hate me, see me and shake like a chain link fence,
By the looks of them you would swear Jaws was coming,
By the screams of them you would swear I'm sawing someone,
By the way they running you would swear the law was coming,
Its now or never tonight is all or nothing,
Momma, Jimmy keep leaving on us, he said he'd be back,
He pinky promised, I don't think he's honest,
I'll back baby I just got to beat this clock,
f**k this clock, I'm'a make them eat this watch,
Don't believe me? Watch.
I'm a win this race, And I'm a come back
and rub my s**t in your face, b***h.
I found my nitch,
You gonna hear my voice
Till you sick of it you ain't gonna have a choice,
If I gotta scream till I have half a lung,
If I have half a chance I grab it, rabbit run..

8 Mile

Sometimes I just feel like
Quitting I still might
Why do I put up this f!ght?
Why do I still write?
Sometimes it's hard enough just dealing with real life
Sometimes I wanna jump on stage and just k!ll mics
And show these people what my level of skill's like
But I'm still white
Sometimes I just hate life
Something ain't right
Hit the brake lights
Case of this stage fright
Drawing a blank like
"Uh ... da da da da"
It ain't my fault
Cryin' eye balls
My insides crawl
And I clam up
I just slam shut
I just can't do it
My whole manhood's just been stripped
I have just been 'vict
So I must then get
Off the bus then split
Man f**k this s**t
Yo, I'm going the f**k home
World on my shoulders as I run back to this 8 Mile Road

I'm a man
I'ma make a new plan
Time for me to just stand up and travel new land
Time for me to just take matters into my own hands
Once I'm over these tracks, man I'ma never look back
~(8 Mile Road)~
And I'm gone
I know right where I'm going
Sorry, momma, I'm grown
I must travel alone
Ain't gon' follow no footsteps I'm making my own
Only way that I know how to escape from this 8 Mile Road

Walking these train tracks
Tryin to regain back
The spirit I had 'fore I go back to the same crap
To the same plant
In the same pants
Tryin to chase rap
Gotta move ASAP
Get a new plan
Momma's got a new man
Poor little baby sister, she don't understand
Sits in front of the TV buries her nose in her pad
And just colors until the crayon gets dull in her hand
While she colors her big brother a mother and dad
Ain't no telling what really goes on in her little head
Wish I could be the daddy that neither one of us had
But I keep running from something I never wanted so bad
Sometimes I get upset cuz I ain't blew up yet
It's like a grew up but I ain't grown me two nuts yet
Don't got a rep, my step
Don't got enough pep
The pressure's too much, man I'm just tryin to do what's best
And I try
Sit alone and I cry
Yo I won't tell no lie
Not a moment goes by
That I don't pray to the sky
Please, I'm beggin you God
Please don't let me be pigeonholdin' in no regular job
Yo I hope you can hear me homie wherever you are
Yo, I'm telling you dog I'm bailing this trailer tomorrow
Tell my mother I love her, kiss baby sister goodbye [kiss]
Say whenever you need me, baby, I'm never too far
But, yo, I gotta get out there the only way I know
And I'ma be back for you the second that I blow
On everything I own
I'll make it on my own
Off to work I go
Back to this 8 Mile Road

I'm a man
Gotta make a new plan
Time for me to just stand up and travel new land
Time for me to just take matters into my own hands
Once I'm over these tracks, man I'ma never look back
~ (8 Mile Road) ~
And I'm gone
I know right where I'm going
Sorry, momma, I'm grown
I must travel alone
Ain't gon' follow no footsteps I'm making my own
Only way that I know how to escape from this 8 Mile Road

You gotta live it to feel it
You didn't, you wouldn't get it
Don't see what the big deal is
Why it was and it still is
To be walking this borderline of Detroit's city limits
It's different it's a certain significance
A certificate of authenticity
You'd never even see
But it's everything to me
It's my credibility
You'd never seen, heard, smelled or met a real mc
Who's incredible or on the same pedestal as me
But yet still unsigned
Having a rough time
Sit on the porch with all my friends and kick dumb rhymes
Go to work and serve MCs in the lunch line
But when it comes crunch time
Where do my punch lines go?
Who must I show?
To bust my flow
Where must I go?
Who must I know?
Or am I just another crab in the bucket
Cuz I ain't having no luck with this little rabbit so f**k it
Maybe I need a new outlet
I'm starting to doubt s**t
I'm feeling a little skeptical who I hang out with
I look like a bum, yo my clothes ain't about s**t
At the Salvation Army trying to salvage an outfit
And it's cold
Trying to travel this road
Plus I feel like I'm always stuck in this battling mode
My defenses are so up
The one thing I don't want
Is pity from no one
This city is no fun
There is no sun
And it's so dark
Sometimes I just feel like I'm being pulled apart
From each one of my limbs
By each one of my friends
It's enough to just make me wanna jump out of my skin [AAAAHHH!]
Sometimes I feel like a robot
Sometimes I just know not
What I'm doing, I just blow, my head is a stove top
I just explode, the kettle gets so hot
Sometimes my mouth just overloads the a.ss that I don't got
But I've learned
It's time for me to U-turn
Yo it only takes one time for me to get burned
Ain't no fallin' on next time I'll meet a new girl
I can no longer play stupid or be immature
I got every ingredient all I need is the courage
Like I already got the beat all I need is the words
Got the urge
Suddenly it's a surge
Suddenly a new burst of energy has occurred
Time to show these free world leaders the three and a third
I am no longer scared now, I'm free as a bird
Then I turn and cross over the median curb
Hit the burbs and all you see is a blur
I'm 8 Mile Road

I'm a man
Gotta make a new plan
Time for me to just stand up and travel new land
Time for me to just take matters into my own hands
Once I'm over these tracks, man I'ma never look back
~(8 Mile Road)~
And I'm gone
I know right where I'm going
Sorry, momma, I'm grown
I must travel alone
Ain't gon' follow no footsteps I'm making my own
Only way that I know how to escape from this 8 Mile Road

The difference between me telling you that Eminem is better than Big and some kid 10 years down the line telling me that Wayne is better than Em is that Eminem is actually good at his craft. He actually ranks as one of the greatest and isn't just a stupid gimmick. He (Eminem) actually has talent..
No, the difference between you and me is waaay more than that lil' homie. And lemme get this straight, so your saying "Eminem is actually good at his craft." AND BI ISNT?? And your also implying that "He actually ranks as one of the greatest" I'LL YOU AGAIN, AND BI ISNT??? And lastly "He (Eminem) actually has talent.." YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT I'M GOING TO ASK, DON'T YOU? Do me a favor lil' homie, Go listen to the Relapse then come back and talk to me, I guarantee you'll be asking yourself why is Marshall rapping like he has a turban on his head for 10 straight songs. And for the record, I'm not using your age as a copout, its just fact that YOU WERE IN DIAPERS WHEN BI DROPPED, AND YOU WERE BEING POTTY-TRAINED WHEN ILLMATIC DROPPED, so you didnt see what they did to Hip-Hop. And if you really listen'd to Ilmatic then you wouldnt ever even think Marshall is better than Nas let alone actually type that shh*. Kids these days...

BI EVEN GAVE SHAQ A CLASSIC JOINT

A lime to a lemon, my D.C. women,
bringin in to G-minumums to condos with elevators in them,
vehicles with telivision's in them,
watch they entoruage turn your's to just mirages,
disaperin acts, strictly nines and macs,
killers be sureal, Copperfeild material,
my dreams is vivid, work hard to live it,
any place I visit I got land there,
how can players stand there and say I sound like them,
hello,
push wigs and back and push six coup's that's yellow,
bust clips to expand some hand to elbow,
spray up your days in, any teller you win,
crack ?? to ?? is how I may be drivin,
??? of street sweepers beside the beamer wagon,
I rely on Bigs status, surely down if I die,
put that on my diamond bezil,
you're messin with the Devil,
WHAT!!!!

Now you're just putting words in my mouth. I never said BIG wasn't good at his craft, one of the greatest, or that he doesn't have talent... he is, and has all of that, but in my opinion, Eminem does it all better than BIG...

I've only listened to 3 tracks so far off of Relapse, 2 of which I deemed average, but Bagpipes From Baghdad blew me the f**k away and I had it on repeat for hours. The other two I heard were We Made You and Crack A Bottle, both of which have been out way longer than the leak... We Made You was sick on the first verse, but got dull after that....

And what I'm trying to tell you that you don't seem to understand is that BI NEVEREVER CAME WACK and Marshall has on several occasions unless you think "Smack that" and "Crack A Bottle" is sweet in which case I'm leaving the room. Otherwise I'll continue by telling you once again BI is the most quoted rapper to date, and most respected by his peers. You go tell any proven MC with credibility that you think Marshall is better than BI and I guarantee you, you'll get the same thing E.House got from Skip To Lou. Try it if you don't believe me. It's just sad to see that your to young to really know what your saying. You probably think Kobe or LeBron is better than MJ to don't you?

THOUGHT I WASNT GONNA POST ANOTHER VERSE???

Damn it feel good to see people up on it
Flipped two keys in two weeks and didn't flaunt it
My brain is haunted, with mean dreams
GS's with BB's on it, supreme schemes, to get Richer
than Richie, quickly, n*ggaz wanna hit me
If they get me, dress my body in linen by Armani, check it
My lyrical carjack, make your brains splat
High caliber gats is all I f**k with, now peep the rough s**t
in my circumfrence, mad b***hes, with mad lucci
Bulletproof vestes under they coochie
Spittin my uzi, don't lose me, my trigga n*ggaz represent
Drivin dirty in J-30's gettin bent
And to my hit hoes, my murder mommies
I be smokin trees in Belize when they find me
While you still k!llin n*ggaz with punany, like heiny
and Cyrus up in Cypress f**k you raw you on the floor with the virus
While I just, slang coke, smoke pounds to choke
Got lawyers watchin lawyers so I won't go broke, now check it
Them country n*ggaz call me Frank White
I'm squirtin off in my loft of course I know my s**t's tight
Sunrise open my eyes no surprise
Got my shorty flyin in with keys taped to her thighs
With all the utensils, who hang my china thing
She half black half oriental eighty-six she got me rental
The situation ain't accidental..

Yo I won't tell no lie
Not a moment goes by
That I don't pray to the sky
Please, I'm beggin you God
Please don't let me be pigeonholdin' in no regular job
Yo I hope you can hear me homie wherever you are
Yo, I'm telling you dog I'm bailing this trailer tomorrow
Tell my mother I love her, kiss baby sister goodbye [kiss]
Say whenever you need me, baby, I'm never too far
But, yo, I gotta get out there the only way I know
And I'ma be back for you the second that I blow
On everything I own
I'll make it on my own
Off to work I go
Back to this 8 Mile Road

I'm a man
Gotta make a new plan
Time for me to just stand up and travel new land
Time for me to just take matters into my own hands
Once I'm over these tracks, man I'ma never look back
~ (8 Mile Road) ~
And I'm gone
I know right where I'm going
Sorry, momma, I'm grown
I must travel alone
Ain't gon' follow no footsteps I'm making my own
Only way that I know how to escape from this 8 Mile Road

You gotta live it to feel it
You didn't, you wouldn't get it
Don't see what the big deal is
Why it was and it still is
To be walking this borderline of Detroit's city limits
It's different it's a certain significance
A certificate of authenticity
You'd never even see
But it's everything to me
It's my credibility
You'd never seen, heard, smelled or met a real mc
Who's incredible or on the same pedestal as me
But yet still unsigned
Having a rough time
Sit on the porch with all my friends and kick dumb rhymes
Go to work and serve MCs in the lunch line
But when it comes crunch time
Where do my punch lines go?
Who must I show?
To bust my flow
Where must I go?
Who must I know?
Or am I just another crab in the bucket
Cuz I ain't having no luck with this little rabbit so f**k it
Maybe I need a new outlet
I'm starting to doubt s**t
I'm feeling a little skeptical who I hang out with
I look like a bum, yo my clothes ain't about s**t
At the Salvation Army trying to salvage an outfit
And it's cold
Trying to travel this road
Plus I feel like I'm always stuck in this battling mode
My defenses are so up
The one thing I don't want
Is pity from no one
This city is no fun
There is no sun
And it's so dark
Sometimes I just feel like I'm being pulled apart
From each one of my limbs
By each one of my friends
It's enough to just make me wanna jump out of my skin [AAAAHHH!]
Sometimes I feel like a robot
Sometimes I just know not
What I'm doing, I just blow, my head is a stove top
I just explode, the kettle gets so hot
Sometimes my mouth just overloads the a.ss that I don't got
But I've learned
It's time for me to U-turn
Yo it only takes one time for me to get burned
Ain't no fallin' on next time I'll meet a new girl
I can no longer play stupid or be immature
I got every ingredient all I need is the courage
Like I already got the beat all I need is the words
Got the urge
Suddenly it's a surge
Suddenly a new burst of energy has occurred
Time to show these free world leaders the three and a third
I am no longer scared now, I'm free as a bird
Then I turn and cross over the median curb
Hit the burbs and all you see is a blur
I'm 8 Mile Road

I'm a man
Gotta make a new plan
Time for me to just stand up and travel new land
Time for me to just take matters into my own hands
Once I'm over these tracks, man I'ma never look back
~(8 Mile Road)~
And I'm gone
I know right where I'm going
Sorry, momma, I'm grown
I must travel alone
Ain't gon' follow no footsteps I'm making my own
Only way that I know how to escape from this 8 Mile Road

Now close this f**king thread
not a mention of drugs, guns, b00ty shaking, pushin weight, money, cars, pimpin...yea EMINEM is a superior emcee than most give him credit for. He really is just better than bigg on the versatility. Big sometimes broke rhyme schemes where as NOBODY in the game can keep one as good as Eminem. Crooked I maybe lol

I am about to commit sacrilege and I'm fully prepared to be crucified, but, like Jesus on the cross, I'm willing to die for your idiocy and relay to you the truth you're too stupid to see.

Eminem is better than Biggie, and by what criteria am I judging? By what Biggie is most praised for. Lyricism.

Lyrically, it is undeniable that Eminem is better than Biggie, and is probably the best lyrical rapper of all time. I've been saying this for the longest, so don't attribute this thread to me hearing The Relapse because I haven't heard yet.

Lyrically Eminem >>>> Biggie...

You can use the argument that Biggie only has two albums, and Em so far has had 5 so let's just judge off of both their first two albums.

Ready To Die & Life After death Vs Slim Shady LP and Marshall Mathers LP...

Lyrically, it cannot be denied that both Em's first albums completely outshine Biggie's 2 albums. I mean, even Infinite is lyrically better than Ready To Die...

Most people don't like that Eminem raps about weird s**t, ie k!lling his girlfriend, raping his mother, beating up Moby and just saying stupid crazy s**t, but then they turn around and eat up this Biggie s**t about beating up his women (which he actually did, see Faith Evans & Lil Kim), being a gangsta don, selling drugs etc...

eminem doesn't have an album that's better than ready to die....saying that lyrically em was better on infinite than big on ready to die is laughable at best...and pretty much k!lled your entire argument..which seems to be more based on technical, than all around.....but it's fun to read the responses...

What? From a, from a young G's perspective.

And then BIG did it without a pen and pad, straight inspiration. I like Eminem as much as the next person, but BIG came outta left field with some of the stuff he said, straight ridiculous. BIG all day.

Nah lil' homie I aint puttin' nuthin' your mouth (Pause), I just asked if thats what you were saying and if you wasn't saying that then what was the point of posting it??? I NEED 2 KNOW!
I don't watch sports...

and like I said, people were complaining about its not fair to compare BIG to Eminem cause biggie wasn't around as long as Em has been. But with that same logic, it isn't fair to say BIGGIE never came out with wack s**t, why? cause he never had the chance to. In my opinion he had a lot of wack s**t... but if Eminem had for some reason died after he dropped Marshall mathers LP, he never would've done Encore, adn therefore he never would have dropped any wack s**t either. See what I'm sayin???

Biggie dropped in 94, and died in 97... that's about 3 years that he was around. Eminem dropped in 1999, 3 years later was 2002

let's see... in that time... both rappers managed 3 albums, 3 counting Biggie's double disc Life After death album.

Yup in 3 years, neither rapper dropped any "wack s**t" so had Eminem retired, or for some unfortunate reason, died after the Eminem Show, I'd be saying he never dropped any wack s**t his entire career...

and no dude, age really has nothing to do with whether an artist is perceived as good or not.... A good artist 50 years ago is a good artist today. Elvis, dude is from like what? the 70s and s**t? His s**t still sounds good today.... Marvin Gaye & Luther Vandross >>>>>> every R&B singer out today... age don't mean s**t "lil homie"

I keep telling you man, my favorite rappers are from the same time period as Biggie, ie 2Pac, Nas etc... but you're saying because I was so young when they first came out, that I can't possibly understand them. I understand Nas and 2pac pretty good, so how come I don't understand Biggie? Maybe he just isn't THAT good? ever gave that thought a chance?

eminem doesn't have an album that's better than ready to die....saying that lyrically em was better on infinite than big on ready to die is laughable at best...and pretty much k!lled your entire argument..which seems to be more based on technical, than all around.....but it's fun to read the responses...
Laughable? Em is in a dimension of his own when it comes to lyrical ability. A dimension whcih Biggie was no where near....

and in my opinion, Eminem's first 3 albums are better than Ready To Die... Ready to Die is just the same old smoke, sell dope, f**k hoes, k!ll people, mixed in with 2 little nice tracks and some club s**t.... Biggie is pretty much just a more lyrical 50 Cent, that's how I would describe him...

....thanks for that...

as far as you thinking em is more lyrical than biggie ok....but em on infinite was not lyrically better than big on ready to die....infinite was a very amatuer sounding album...ready to die is a classic album with legendary rhymes, dope flows, dope rhyme schemes, dope story telling..of which big's story telling>>em's...dope beats, and just an all around legendary album...comparing a not even polished eminem to a polished big in his prime is EXTREMELY laughable...

but by all means carry on....lol..

well its not as if Infinite was recorded in a big time studio like Ready To Die, so of course it doens't sound as polished... but lyrically... it does outshine Ready To Die.... the title track alone is >>>> Reayd To DI.e
