Wether you want to admit it or not Lil Wayne has one of the best FLOWS.
He just has s**tTY LYRICS and CONTENT most of the time.

That's why everybody is so obsessed with him and drake is because they aesthetically sound good regardless of their content.

In fact, it showed on the forever songs. Everybody else rode the south type beat well but eminem was trying to hard to be lyrical and he didn't flow/fit well on the beat.

Certain people don't flow well on south beats. ie. nas, eminem etc.
That is the ONLY advantage SOME southern rappers have over SOME eastcoast rappers.
with exception to Jay, Jadakiss and a couple more

I know some people will disagree

but....

But Just my opinion

Goddamn..some people need to download some Tonedeff and Eyedea and refresh themselves with Big Pun, Tech N9Ne, etc...

This is just sad..
Thanks for puttin me on to Tonedeff!!

To rephrase my statement... if we are talking PURE HIP HOP... I would have to go with probably Lupe, Big Pun, Big L, andre 3000,. Jean Grae and a couple more I can't think of right now.....

If we mean materialistic mainstream Wayne, Kanye. Drake (wayne/kanye clone), Jay-Z, CoreyGunz even snoop etc......

But I think alot of people are confusing Wordplay/rhyme schemes and Lyrics with FLOW.

It's a BIG difference..

Example: I like Wale, Mickey Factz, MF DOOM as artist for their lyrics and content but I DON'T like their flow.

That's the main difference between hip hop talent vs. Mainstream Rap Talent (minus material content)

Most Hip Hop artist have weak FLOW (and beats) but strong LYRICS and WORDPLAY and most RAP has weak CONTENT and LYRICS/WORDPLAY but strong FLOW (beats and Hooks)

That's why MOST people who like Hip Hop don't like rap and most people who like rap don't feel hip hop.

They are entertained by the opposite elements.

The way Eminem slips in and out of different flows on songs is just uncomparable to most(/all)rappers.People hate him flowing with his accent but thats him trying something different unlike most other rappers out now.If Eminem played it safe and left all the messin around tracks alone nobody could ever denie how good he is.

Hahaha, for one biggie destroys him
You are reaching there son. Biggie does not destroy him by any means. Please refer to the Biggie track "Dead Wrong (Remix)" Featuring Eminem.

This is all opinion, once again. I do believe it's between him and Biggie tho.

I kinda agree with that. Em and Biggie have similar flows.

And the fact that this thread exists just goes to show that he does, in fact, have at least one of best flow is hip-hop. you will never be able to single out just one rapper as the best. close thread.

There aren't too many people that can match his ability to ride a track. But I consider a good flow to be listenable. This is Eminem's Achillies heel imo. His voice is downright annoying sometimes because of his flow pattern. With these 2 main criteria I would have to say Nas, Big or Pun. Nas being the leader. When it comes to flows I enjoy listening to the most, it would be Guru, Common/Black Thought, Jay early on.....something a little smoother.
