Mine says 446, actually 475. 1st set is 315, 10 times, 365 6 times, and 385 2 to 3 times, back down to 315 and end up with 5 to 8 reps depending on the day. I'm 6'1", 262 lbs, in college maxed out at 480 and was about 220 with 6 % body fat

Damn I entered a best bench competition at my school ...and i was at the 150-165 weight class but i came in 3rd ..im 150 lbs n i only put up 255 lbs ...this other dude was 150 lbs but pure muscle he put 280 lbs ...

I'm 5'7 and weigh 153. I rep 215x10. I'm trying to be hittin 225 10 times by the end of next month. ( If I don't get lazy again.) The calculator says my max is around 285.

P.S. We should make a thread where everybody post vids of them hittin their reps too.

Not really, your arms should be breaking the 90 degree mark by a little bit, it depends on the persons reach and width of grip. I have a friend who is 6'8, 260 and has an insane reach and his elbows literally go behind his back when he does benching using a normal grip, when he lowers it down to his chest.

If you go that down, you're using straight shoulders to lift it up, benching is about targetting your chest. The reason lifting competitions bring it down to their chest is because of the regulation. But you gotta remember, these guys are like 6'2, 300+ pounds with 55+ chests. Their chest/ backs are wayyyy thicker than anybodies here.So to them, its a normal lift.

You're grip is wayyyy to close dude. You need to get yourself an olympic bench. you're doing more a tricep workout than anything

lol, this thread is jokes. everybody postin all these huge a.ss numbers like 300 and 365 with no spotter around () and when i go to the gym, big a.ss dudes are usually maxing out at 315. im not calling anybody a liar but....

i didn't use the calculator but my 1RM is 315...with spotters.

IMO, 365 is not a huge number..I mean its impressive, but not HUGE..All of my lifting partners rep 315 on the bench (repping in the 6-10 range), so it may just be me, but 365 isn't a huge number for 1RM. I guess once you can get a certain amt. of weight ur not easily impressed by it.

Lol..I lift wit some BEASTS, just sayin..And just because you see big dudes at ur gym lifting 315 lbs and lower that doesnt neccessarily mean thats all they can do..Some people dont want to go "too heavy" for various reasons.

I'm 2 inches taller, and 10 pounds heavier..
& I can only hit 215 a good 2 times.
Impressive; can't wait til I get to that.
Then again, I'm about a month into this whole bench press thing.
So I'm sure it'll come in time.

Yeah as long as you keep a good routine and don't skip workouts all the time like I do, you should have no problems gettin there. As far as the size I'm kind of a built for my size and being shorter helps out a little too.
