NEED HELP!!! PS3 wont play my burnt DVDs
 

 
all that pops up is "Video in the PAL broadcast standard is not supported"

i just got my recent update so i dont think it has to do with that
im deployed to iraq and there is not really any tv or any new dvd's at the PX (or equivolent to like..... walmart) anyway the little hodgie mart's got mad burnt dvd's but nothing will play on my PS3 :angry12:
i have to get some help on this PLEASE!!!

i could be wrong about this, but burn your dvds in NTSC format, i dont know if the ps3 can read PAL. hopefully someone with a little more knowledge on this can chime in...but i think it needs to be NTSC, all my burn dvds play fine.

its gotta be some kinda way i mean theres so much you can do on a PS3.....

Dude above you is 100% correct..The Hodgie Man is selling bootlegs in PAL format...its common...a lot of bootlegs are in PAL. Get a Philips it will play everything.

lmfao i lived in the middle east, but my PS2 played all bootlegs. it should play both PAL and NTSC. or maybe thats just for games.

but the only way is to buy NTSC movies, not PAL.
