Former Bastrop star wide receiver DeAngelo Benton shocked the college football recruiting world today when he signed with Auburn after saying Tuesday afternoon that he was going to sign with LSU. That had caused some concern for the father of the nation's top wide receiver, Rueben Randle of Bastrop High.
Emmett Randle had told a Monroe radio station Tuesday that he thought there were too many receivers at LSU or going to LSU, namely Benton, who overshadowed his son while both played at Bastrop in 2005 and 2006. With Benton out of the picture, LSU may have a better chance at Randle, who is scheduled to sign with LSU, Alabama or Oklahoma at a 12:30 p.m. ceremony today at Bastrop High.
... n*gga i'm so excited (if he qualifies)
