All I can say now is that the Pistons are tight as hell on NBA 2k9 now.

Chauncey was slower than most point guards, getting beat off the dribble frequently. He wasn't capable of stealing the ball from poor ball handlers either. Finishing in traffic was a problem for him as well.

All of that's changed now.

The Pistons are facing a test determining if they're really a team or not. I always thought they're stacked talent-wise, so in exchanging a star for a hungry superstar is a plus.

So just focusing on the positives here:

A.I. effectively:

Gets to the basket
Draws fouls
Forces help defenders
Excellent pass defense

The lack of another PG is not really bothersome as A.I. can play 48 minutes like it's nothing. His stamina is second to Rip's who is second to none.

This somewhat helps because the Pistons bench can become stagnant offensively and choke up big leads the starters gain. This is the time I really don't care what Iverson does. I know he can create shots for himself just as good as any other elite scorer.

I like the flexibility of the Pistons roster if Rodney Stuckey does breakout this season.

G- Stuckey
G- Iverson
F - Prince or Hamilton
F - Johnson
C - Wallace

Sub rotation

G - Iverson or Stuckey
G - Hamilton or Afflalo
F - Prince or Hermann
F - Maxiell or McDyess (If re-signed)
C - Brown

This is probably the most versitle lineup the Pistons have had in a while and could keep players fresh. If players start whining about playing time, then Joe knows who to replace. Especially with A.I. and Sheed coming off the books.

In regards of the tempo the Pistons would have to play is that it still has to be a half court setting. Rip is most effictive, Sheed has old legs, but they can easily shift to A.I.'s pace if the defense is there to back it up. No sense in running if you can't play transition defense.

Outside of the videogame world, I'm still skeptical of the trade. This could either be a huge bust for the Pistons or a surge of energy shifting from that lax attitude that Chauncey spread amongst his teammates. It may be too late, Rip looks like he may be infected as well as Tayshaun. Sheed is crazy. I noticed he went from 36 back to 30 so that may show a sign of some new focus.

I wouldn't write off the Pistons, they still have tight a.ss core, solid bench (scored 50 on the Wizards starters), and remember they just added a superstar to the mix. It's a make or break deal, but if all else fails, Joe could easily repair the problem with that cash he saved.

If you watch any raptors games this year, youd know that JO has been a fu*kin BEAST on the defensive end so far (JUST WHAT THE RAPTORS NEEDED). Sure his offensive game isnt there yet, but on D hes been fu*kin dudes up ya dig
In short, he's doing a good job of shedding the soft label. I'm looking at the east and if the Raptors 1-8 players can stay healthy, they could make some noise come playoff time. On the other hand, an injury (which does apply for most teams but specifically the Raptors because of their lack of depth) and they could be in for a bad first round match up.

fu*k a kobe, and the lakers, my n*gga iverson is a pistons now?, i was a philly fan when my dude was shaking jordan, then he left for the nuggets and i became a nuggets fan now i gotta be a pistons fan?

this sh*t is crazy, i dont like to jump teams so ima just head back over to philly and cheer for elton brand.

iverson the best PG in the league and my favorite all time player now has a chance to sh*t on the game and conceal his legacy, he'll finally get a shot at the ring:applause:

he was too good for the nuggets anyway, now my man has help.

The Nuggets came out on top with this deal. Iverson will not win a Ship with Detroit.

And SMH at Iverson being the best PG in the league!
