So I'll put in my two cents on Paper Trail. I fu*king love this CD, more than any rap CD from the last couple of years easy. I really liked King, but there are just so many things about this CD that appeal to me to put it above.

When it comes to rap, I have diverse taste, but Ill admit that there have been few full cds Im completely a fan off. I usually like or love a few tracks, but then there are other tracks that just don't appeal to me or whatnot. So the fact that I listen to Paper Trail front to back each time is a big plus.

I love the beats, but what I like more is the subject matter and the lyrics. For someone who has always been a T.I. fan and saw little flashes of his intelligence even when his early stuff was "hard" or "thug", I was really happy to see him kind of mature on this album. After the interview on BET, and No Matter What, I came away impressed and sympathetic to his situation. He owned up, admitted it was stupid and wrong, but said why it happened, and used it as almost a cautionary tale. He continued with that on Ready for Whatever, Dead and Gone, and some lines on Live Your Life among others. I personally really like him calling out that rap game for some of the stupid sh*t thats going on, and its not like he doesnt have the reputation and history to back it up.

Pure music wise, my favorite tracks are Dead and Gone, Ready for Whatever, and Whatever You Like. Dead and Gone is just fu*king amazing. When the beat kicks in over JT's hook, I got goosebumps. T.I.'s flow is perfect and its just a well put together song. And for a mainstream single, Whatever You Like is perfect. The subject matter and lyrics are a bit pedestrian but its one of my favorite beats in a LONG time, Ill say it, and its just got a great overall feel to it. I was listening to it when it first leaked months ago, and now its in every bar and hasn't lost its luster. Great sh*t.

I've heard it a few times in my car but imma have to say its a classic already cause while skimming through it i found him to be able to deliver every emotion known to man. Beats are dope, and his word play to dope. 5 mics easily.

i havent bought it yet, but i am. sh*t is by far the Album of the Year so far imo and even the songs i didnt like at first ("Whatever You Like" and "pr0no Star") are growing on me. whole CD goes hard, i aint ready to call it a classic yet tho. if its not a classic then its the closest thing we've had this year and since Face dropped "MADE" last year.

Id have to go ahead and say that there are zero classic albums from the south that havn't came from Scarface or possibly Outkast. You must be from the South if you like garbage like this.

I'm a hiphop head to the fullest. My favorite rapper is Aesop Rock, so that should give you an idea of where I'm coming from.

I rock to mainstream sh*t in the whip or in parties, but TI and many other southern artists are on my list.

If you don't get it, just shut the fu*k up. admit that you're just a geek who cannot understand hiphop, but try to fit in with the backpacking hiphop heads who like their share of the underground, but cannot fathom the concept of hiphop being a genre that can be enjoyed in parties as well.

The south rules, bi*ch. I hope you keep talking sh*t about the south, cuz it just makes us feel good inside, to be honest with you.

you get an F in music. fu*king moron.

Tell TI to step his lyrical game up? Ok now you fu*kin w/ me, dude went the fu*k in lyrically on this album. Dudes rhyme schemes on this joint are on another level.

I can see why u been here since 2004 and haven't posted much if all your post were some dumb sh*t like that.

YOU call ME a geek but then you fu*k up by going onto say your favorite rapper is Aesop Rock. The south doesn't rule sh*t except for ignorance.

And I fully understand hiphop...it isn't that deep when you got these lame rappers like TI and 50 Cent dominating the genre. And honestly I don't give a fu*k about what can be enjoyed at parties because at that point it's about the producer and not the rapper.
