Clearly these rich rappers don't really gang bang, but they rep the big gangs but in reality why?, you won't find Wayne in them streets if a gang war really breaks out. So it is all about promotion for the gang and they in return provide support and protection right?.

these n1ggas think they are getting protected, but they are really getting extorted in the nice, round about way

you gotta be a real puzzy to pay n1ggas to fly a flag, i grew up around gangs, ain't sh1t good about them, so for you to purposly gravitate to some sh1t that you ain't really involved in...just for a publicity look? da fucck outta here man...real OG n1ggas don't co-sign that sh1t, it's these mickey mouse made a.ss n1ggas trying to make a quick buck off the rap game cuz the crack game dried the fucck up

drought comin?? shake down one of these puzzy rap n1ggas for a quick "milli" or two and keep it movin...but i hope these n1ggas know not to stop the checks once they start writin em....fucck around and get caught out there

^ Cosign... they confusing the shyt out of kids.. who emulate this shyt..and find themselves a.ssed out in a level 3/4 pen.

2 the threadstarter... CAli has changed. Marks would get checked back in the day.. now they get passes. Its politics and i can't speak on em. If such n such gang cosign a offbrand.. than thats on they gang. I garunteee (no accent) them dudes is payin taxes...or dues depending on who you ask. They paid for their passes. YOU WILL NEVER catch one of them dudes in the hub. At least not without someone holding they hands...shyt they prolly aint built to walk around san bernadino lol. Clearly if you got money you can buy a pass in LA now... or maybe its allways been that way.. (remember puffy).

your correct with your observation. Its advertisement. and it works. For example dc is now having gang problems. Specifically with the bloods (affiliated not related to la bloods)

DC had neiborhoods with crews and gangs.. but not bloods and crips until recently.

Its trendy... however these youngins fail to realize whether they are affiliated.. and wanna b or c when they catch they first charge and get they picture taken. The nicca doing classification aint gonna care if they fake. And esse's and latinos won't either. Gang injunctions suck....and rico and simple beatdowns become gang related mob charges that bring long stints... Rappers don't talk about that stuff tho.. its not popular. And LA rappers all but ignore talking about that lil problem they have in the pen. Everyone knows who contols the yards.. Everyone wants the fame and noteriety but they don't have experience to talk about the bad parts of being in a gang.

Shyts sad.. we losing our future leaders to Tv gangstas.

Cali.. i love it.. but its trying to be the south. Not all of cali but some rappers in LA specifically are trying to fit in with radio.. Rhyming over bass heavy south sounding tracks instead of making they own waves and coming with that trademark cali shyt. They giving wayne and baby boy a pass 2 ride they cotails and remain relevant.

I am happy with game's recent cd... he even got jellyroll on it. Dude dropping some heat... xzibits last album was fire too. And crooked.. i wish someone would give him a chance. The others however... either backpacking (which is cool uni shyt dope) or got that south/west sounding shyt. Its sad what the rap game turned in2.

Even snoop.. shocked me when he did a track with weezy and david banner. These old dudes cosingin the youngins to remain relevant and tap they fanbase. Shyts pathetic.

And after all that most stil don't get no radio play. Simple solution is for them to buy they broads the cd's they listen to on the radio and boycott local radio. Bring kday back 2 what it was...

Anyways... they all waiting to ride dre's coatails when detox drop. My question is what they gonna do after dre drops and the movements slows...

SunsetVine I hear you but check this...this is what I do NOT understand

say you a big time multiple platinum rapper from new york and you travel to LA to do a show

why in the FUKK would you pay for n*ggas for a pass to the hood?

And most likely your going to have a security team with 24/7 so how the fukk do gangs extort you?

It was the same thing in NY, NJ, and every other state outside of Cali but as the mid-late 90s came in, these local crews somehow turned into blood and crip, mostly bloods. No one can still really explain how something from Cali spread out to the eastcoast like that.

I mean I know a couple of my uncles and cousins were saying a lot of blood n*ggas from Cali were coming through East Orange and pretty much getting a lot of the young cats to claim blood which spread.

if were just talkin about birdman and wayne here, then it doesnt matter that they "bangin". them n*ggas aint been touched yet and they been doin "gangster rap" before the gang bangin sh*t so it really doesnt matter.

It spreads by a person coming from a gang city (like L.A. or Chicago). Being transferred in jail to different cities and being very influential to the younger inmates, who in turn come home tell or teach their friends about what he learned. But, rappers like lil wayne who knows that he's not a blood, feeds or look out for real bloods (ex. Jay Rock) to co-sign for them.

but the way those cats in the east and all across the states do it its pretty stupid like you diyng for hoods that are thousands of miles away.lol i saw a blood cat from ny back a crip cat and say they were rivals against bloods and crips that come from out theyre projects and im like what kind of fuking retarded sh*t that sh*t is sad as fu*k.Thease cats from out here dont respect those cats and you know dam well you walk around here with the wrong sh*t on you getting blasted. If you dont know were you at you got a big target on your black just a couple blocks away could mean your death and its kinda sad that it could turn the country like that.

I had a friend from Ny got addicted to th L.A. life and he got tired of being punked around so he said i want bi*ches fast money fu*k this dog how can i get put on the hood im like sh*t you know they aint turning back from that dont be stupid.Well i told em you got to be brought in do favors slang hold guns, drugs, buisness sh*t bust misions for big cats or be relative of someone inn it or good friend. So this dumb a.ss says i like the ones in watts ima try to get put on,one of our friends was from it and he said naw i cant back you he got pissed and left fu*k it ima get put on anyways. He takes the metro over theyre and he tells those guys hey let me get in your cats hood they were like who the fu*k are yuo and he says im ericks homie he says im cool.Well they call my homie erick and that foo says fu*k naw i aint cool with em like that. They ended up jumping his a.ss right theyre and took his shoes he had to come back home barefoot hes lucky they dint k!ll em cuz erick said he knew em just he dint back em.

Look gangs have certain people's back.
it pretty much is almost extortion.
not every rapper but certain rappers pay off other gangs and do favors like doing a verse for free in turn the gang will watch there back.

gangs start off protecting but sometimes the get hungry and setup the rappers jack them and sell them there own sh*t back to em.

but certain states you really need that pass if you don't want to get got.

if you understand what i said prop me.

it really depends....

i bet nobody on boxden knew that young berg was connected to the GDs and BDs in the chi . kinda funny thinking about it cause i barely knew young berg was from chicago til a few months ago

and you might all think that video is bullsh*t or something, but it's def for real cause young berg is cap-1's brother and cap-1 is a KNOWN GD in the southside of chicago. so if a weak garbage a.ss kid like him has people like that, then i'm sure a few others in the industry do too

Even S.A.S. came to my endz rolled with a couple mandem made a few tunes n sh*t. just to be like 'yh were down with ____'

RAPPERS WANNA BE GANGSTERS
GANGSTERS WANNA BE RAPPERS

Its nuts like that.

Is he from DTH in East Orange because I've heard the same thing before? I was hearing that when Treach became a superstar he was bringing his connects or security from Cali with him back home to East Orange and people from around his way somehow got put onto becoming bloods but I never really got any confirmation. In fact, I even heard Double I in East Orange was the first set on the eastcoast dating back to 1991. But at Treach if he actually had something to do with the spreading of gangs in the East. Talk about having a negative effect in your own community
