Will there ever be a Hip Hop artist as real as Tupac???

Of course real is a subjective term so to each his own defintion but I mean look at what the man put out as lead singles on his albums ,

Brenda's got a Baby (first single he ever put out)

Keep your head up

Dear Mama

Baby Dont Cry

I Aint Mad At cha

the list goes on,

I mean compared to other hip hop artists he had very little ego, he more about his music and message than his own gratification.

Real IS a subjective term. If we're talking about putting your heart on your sleeve, tupac is hard to beat but I gotta go with Ghostface on that.

Pac's charisma went along well with the times too. For his era, his compassion and optimism or heart was way ahead of the time in which he lived. He captivated people n just had that natural aura to him. He wasn't afraid to speak his heart wether it be in his music or interviews n when u watched him on screen u could see his soul glowing so to speak.... You'll be hard pressed to find an interview or something where u don't believe what hes saying or that it doesn't seem like it's coming from his heart. Compared to some of these clowns u see on these hip hop shows today or speaking about themselves...

It's not a contradictory with 2Pac. It's called diversity. He released "I Get Around" and "Keep Ya Hed Up" back to back on purpose. He broke females down into 2 categories. One being about women and the other being about hoes and bi*ches! Educate yourself and stop talking out of your a.ss!

pac isn't god, he's human like anyone else therefore he has emotions and reactions which are based upon the context of the situation he is in, instead of lookin at the negatives why dont you look at the positive which WAY outweighs what any rapper has done content wise.

Jay is too worried about taking care of his own legacy, Pac cared about his people first and you could tell through his lyrics. Jay cares ALOT more about himself than anyone. This isn't about whos more lyrically nyce, because obviously by your list you haven't even chosen Jay's top realest/sincere songs.

if jay was so selfish, why does he spill his life story to his audience...i respect pac's legacy, but i think his image was more of an impact

Nah man, Nas is lyrically at nice, but he doesn't know what he stands for from one moment to the next, and you can tell by his songs because i feel like you get the message but for some reason it doesn't hit wit the same potent sincerity that Pac's song hits you with, and nas like jay has a certain level of self-centered conceit from time to time, he always wants props for his position in the game, He wanted to remember WHO it was who gave you the message, when pac rather cared about whether you actually got the message, why do you think he came out with Brendas got a Baby for his FIRST single ever. Nas's single selection cant hold a candle to Pac's.
