You should feel sore
Quads..cause your legs start the lift
Shoulders(traps) your arms should be straight down and you should feel your shoulders as soon as the weight comes off the ground
Lower back..once you past your knees your lower back takes over

Deads are the second best mass builder behind squats
how much weight are you doing and sets?

I've never felt the soreness in my traps...ever.

Only legs (1st couple times) and lower back

and im 100% sure my technique is correct..so ya know.

you should 100% feel it in your traps..dls are a real good work out for traps..you might be using your arms too much

the primary spots it hits are lower back and hamstrings and glutes. its not abnormal to feel sore throughout your entire back or traps

not to try and bash you or anything, but most people I see do them aren't doing them correctly so I would definitely double check that form, even thought most people think they are doing them right, their back is rounding and all kinds of other sh*t...just check the form and everything first, even have someone who knows their sh*t check it out for you

correct form you will feel it in your lower back, hamstrings, traps, and sometimes forearms...you dont have to feel it in all 3...some people use a littler more hamstrings then back while some people use a littler more lower back etc

Not correct.

A deadlift literally involves every single muscle in your body. It happens to target the prosterior chain.

It depends on your body, and how it reacts to the movement. Most people will generally be sore in the lower back, hamstrings, and upperback.

But do not judge the quality of the work out by how sore you are the next day.

how many reps are you doing per set and how many sets?
soreness is going to depending on the intensity of you workout. I can go out right now and pull 225 10 times for 4 sets and i will not be sore, because its to light and im really not using any energy.
with deads you want to go heavy, throw that weight up there and pull that sh*t.
i can shoot you a deadlift routine ill just adjust the weight but you WILL be sore after the first workout..just tell me your max one rep pull

ps...SQUAT IS THE KING, not deadlifts they are a close second.

DLs should be heavy weight, low reps like maybe 5x5

deadlifts are just like anything else, you can do any rep scheme you want, sometimes I go as low as 3 reps sometimes I do 20 even 10 sets of 10

no one is wrong in this thread.

it really depends on the person and which bodypart is the weakest

i first of felt it in the legs and then traps more then back

but as i progressed i feel it more in lower back.
