After playing two 7 game series & a another 6 games, the C`s will be worn out...Not only are we younger, but we`re gonna have fresh legs...Series goes 5/6 games, Boston will be out of gas by that point...
How so tho, both teams are basically getting a week off of rest More than enough imo.

Lakers have a younger, deeper, more athletic bench that can play during critical stretches. Boston has Cassell, PJ Brown and House as part oft their bench "contributors". It takes older players longer to recover, once the series starts, even in between games and that's a known medical and physiological fact.

dont forget posey, u got the younger legs tru, but we got the hungry superstars where everything theyve worked for amounts to this one chance & will determine their legacies in the game. dont underestimate that with younger legs.:D

The Lakers aren't hungry??? Boston's "superstars" are going to play the whole 48 minutes of each game in a series Don't forget that Boston has "Dumbass" Rivers as the coach if you can even call him that How many coaches won a championship with a (completely) new roster?

The Laker bench goes 4 players deep and that's without Ariza. Last I looked 9 players who can actually play is better than 5 even if 3 of those are "superstars". The Lakers bench was outplaying the Spurs for long stretches with Duncan, Parker and Ginobili on the floor, guys who have actually won the title. What do Garnett, Pierce and Allen have, an ECC I'm quite sure the Lakers bench won't be intimidated by Garnett, Allen and Pierce, even in Boston, considering the Lakers just beat the champs and beat the team with the best home record this year in Utah on Utah's own floor in the playoffs.

lakers in 5

remember finals format diff than rest of playoffs

1st two games in boston, next 3 str8 are in LA

boston wont win in LA n i think la will take a game in boston

so lakers in 5

the celtics making it to the finals dont impress me

they had the ezest route, they played teams that couldnt score

there defense will be exposed, all they do is sag off heavy, but the lakers everyone can score 3s or jump shots or drives or cuts n thats all they do actually

the triangle offense is the perfect offense especially when u play a cheating team like boston that trys to sag off everyone n help, it wont work against the lakers
What the fu*k are you talking about? Please dude ur observations are horrible...

The Spurs were on of the worst offensive teams in the league as well and the Lakers barely beat them except for one game with the Spurs most explosive player not even scoring double figures 3 of the 5 games... Come on if Ginobli wasnt hurt he would have put up at least 20 ppg and he didnt and the lakers were barely winning

The Celtics were actually underdogs against Detroit... The Lakers have been favored to win every series... The Lakers played the worst defensive and one of the worst offenses in the league and were down by 17+ three times against San Antoniio... Best believe they gone by 20 against the Celts they aint coming back... They dont have those 5 and 6 minute droughts like the Spurs...

This will be a great series and no way in hell either team wins in 5 games your an idiot if you think that... The LAkers can be beat in LA they were down by 20 in game 1 and 17 in game 5 at home... The only reason they won was the Spurs inability to score and Ginobli not being healthy helped so dont get c*cky...

What the fukk does Larry Brown have to do with THIS YEAR'S NBA championship series Guess you missed that little detail Sherlock

Last I looked 9 > 1 and Larry Brown had been an NBA coach for a far longer time than Phil Jackson prior to winning in 2004. Even Red Auerbach lost to a St. Louis team in the championship before Boston went on it's 8 year run in a league that had like 8 teams.

"Dumbass" River = 0 titles = 0 coaching experience in an NBA championship series.

Thank you.. La fans are gettin way to c*cky. I mean they were truely better than every team they beat they did what they had to do. The spurs couldnt score and it WASNT great L.a defense Ginobli was hurt. THEY were down 15 plus points twice and the refs gave them game 4. . sh*t.. i have all the respect for la and kobes one of my favorite but they gettin way to confident. The spurs had no offense. the Jazz have no defense and the nuggets had no heart/ or defense. at least atlanta had heart. but once again im a firm believer that the last series means sh*t. Yeah the west is big and bad yet Miami and Detroit both have rings since the La dynasty. . while detroit destroyed the all mighty 04 lakers. OHH and one more thing SINCE WHEN DID YALL BENCH BECOME SO GREAT.. outside of Walton none of them are great.. Turiaf is the same n*gga from last year/ Ariza is athletic (and thats where it stops) Vuhachic(spelling) is a good shooter when he is hot. . .. sh*t Posey Made Lebron look very average for part of that series (yes i know hes not kobe ) Cassell is still someone who can come in and score. PJ hustles. Big Baby>Turiaf. Powe and house are also pretty good powe had a couple 20 point games.. youth La... Overall Bostons bench is a tad bit better. dont let Kobes great play make you believe the bench is GREAT. MJ did the same thing .. made chitowns bench look great. .. the reason yall bench SEEMS better is because Doc Rivers isnt a great coach( sadly) we won 66 games and Powe/house/baby were puttin in work he changed the whole rotation in the playoffs which is why the celts have honestly struggled but in the end its gonna be kg/pierce/rayray Kobe/Odom/Gasol who decide this series not fu*kin turiaf and ariza or even Cassell /pj/ or house.. ITS THE FINALS you think Kg playin extra minutes is gonna be that serious.

you must not have watched the NBA all season. NBA analysts/commentators/sportswriters have, by consensus, labelled the Lakers bench as being one of the best along with Utah's.

Here's an opinion piece from a New Jersey sports writer.

Sunday, June 01, 2008 , Copyright 2008 The Star-Ledger.

So you look at the Lakers today and you see a really good team -- one on the threshold of being great. They have all the requisites for greatness, anyway -- an MVP in his prime, a top-five center, a hellish matchup at the four-spot, cerebral system guys at every other station, shooters and athletes all over the place, probably the best coach, and superb chemistry.

All of which makes you nauseous when you think about how they're smoking every opponent with astonishing ease while Andrew Bynum, a future 24-and-12 guy, rehabs his knee.

The Lakers are going to get better. Once Bynum returns, you can expect talk of a dynasty regardless of what happens in the upcoming Finals.
Depending on how Bynum recovers, retaining core players and barring any serious injury to key players, the Lakers will be championship contenders, not including this one, for at least the next 4-5 years.

Shaq and Bryant fukked up in 2002-03 when they couldn't swallow their egos, culminating in the loss against the Pistons in 2004. Both of them learned the hard way, after the fallout, that they couldn't win another championship without each other or help from another All-Star credentialed player, along with a competent supporting cast. Had Shaq and Bryant not acted as petulant, self-centerd children back then, they and the Lakers would have easily won 5-6 championships by now, earned undisputed "team of the decade" status and continued to be title contenders for another few years.

The Lakers being a championship caliber team rests with a big man in the middle, and not Bryant, because that is the Lakers tradition from Mikan, to Wilt, to Kareem and to Shaq. The next in line is Bynum IF he stays healthy.

i dont understand why the Celtics are getting no respect at all. if Trevor Ariza is gonna be guarding Ray or Pierce, both of them should have huge nights, nothing against Ariza, but come on thats kind of like a slap to the face of ray and Pierce saying Ariza is gonna be able to contain them, which he wont be.
