Exactly.. The Pistons had the second best record in the nba... Therefore we deserve to be respected as the best coming into this series. Last years Spurs team WAS the best. Last year performances dont make you the best team in the league(2008).... close thread ... but i dont mind being the under dawgs... Reality is we beat a better DEFENSIVE laker team with bynum. with gasol they are a better OFFENSIVE team... cant wait for this series....

lol at people thinking boston will win the series, id be surprised if they win a game at l.a, detroit didnt put up alot of f!ght in the series and plus lakers got kobe who is unplayable right now i mean he tore spurs apart boston wont be that hard for him to put big numbers

I would rather see Kobe win again but I don't like how everyone is writing Boston off...it's weird, didn't they just see the SB?

lakers in 5

remember finals format diff than rest of playoffs

1st two games in boston, next 3 str8 are in LA

boston wont win in LA n i think la will take a game in boston

so lakers in 5

the celtics making it to the finals dont impress me

they had the ezest route, they played teams that couldnt score

there defense will be exposed, all they do is sag off heavy, but the lakers everyone can score 3s or jump shots or drives or cuts n thats all they do actually

the triangle offense is the perfect offense especially when u play a cheating team like boston that trys to sag off everyone n help, it wont work against the lakers

LMAO at this being a argument.

Celtics are getting better throughout the playoffs obviously but it took the Celtics 7 games to beat the Hawks and the Cavs. Teams that they should have murked quicker. They beat a Pistons team that lost to a 1 man Bron show last year which is no surprise.

LA for one just beat the defending champs and even tho this team isn't any where near as good as last year its already a bigger feat. Beating a Tim Duncan team in 5 games is fu*king amazing period. And then theres the fact they beat Utah and Denver. Do u realize that LA only lost 3 games????

Reg season shouldn't even be argued. We sh*tted on the Celtics in the reg season but wed still be the under dog if we met up big whup. It takes alot of pressure of the Celtics regardless.

Ignoring the bias hate to bring up a point that you were making...

I have thought it over and said it before the playoffs and no one agreed, Boston would have more trouble against Cleveland Orlando Washington and all the low east teams (never predicted Hawks but they are one of them too) then the Pistons, Spurs, Mavs, Lakers, other west teams etc.

For some reason I seen Detroit going down quick even after the 7 games against Cleveland and I think they will get better against LA. They lead LA and Detroit reg season but split with Cleveland and was behind against Washington.

Basically what im saying is Boston vs Detroit/West > Boston vs the "under .500 team, shouldn't be in playoffs, blah blah" They play better against better competition.
