I wanna get that depth when I squat.. but I can't go down unless I kinda raise my heels a little bit..

Feet Flat, Head Up...

Buy a pair of chucks when you squat, it will help keep your feet flat. Go light at first to get the most range of motion...then once you get that down, you an add weight. Great form will equal great lifts down the road. Lifting your heels is the start of creating bad form IMO.

You're not flexible enough.

Usually a problem with the hips and ankle.

Yes.

You probably have tight hips if it isn't happening on back squats. An easy hip stretch is to put one leg over the other while sitting (some people sit like this normally so it looks like a T). And just lean forward, you can pull your leg up towards your head for more eaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaffect.

Power up through the heels........... calf raise doesn't equal squat.

Like people said, ALWAYS flat feet, and power with heels up, if you try to do it with your toes, you will go forward.

You wanna "sit back" sorta speak when you're squatting...doing this you really feel it in your hips. As Akoi said, if you can't then you're just not that flexible YET. It doesn't mean you won't ever be...just make sure you start with light weight and STRETCH BEFORE AND AFTER!

My brother is bowlegged and he had tremendous difficulty squatting. When he goes down, his legs open up. Also, he needs to place his feet really wide or otherwise he can't go down at all. Is there anything I can do for him?

Start with low weight so he can learn the technique, because with your feet wide, it doesn't quite help for a 'regular squat'..
