I'm guessing fist-push ups?

I got kind of small hands as well.. so any advice to make my fists weapons

One thing i used to do when I first started boxing was hit the heavy bag with just hand wraps on, I don't think it made my knuckles harder, but it got me used to the punishment that my hands will take in the future. But the biggest thing about punching is to practice your form with the punches, rotating your hips, pivoting your feet, just getting the form down pat, you'll definitely be a better puncher.

edit: oh yeah, make sure you know how to properly throw a punch and don't try anything too drastic when it comes to trying to condition your bare hands because you could fu*k them up.

knuckles can't really get "harder" except through i guess long hours of hitting a bag or doing fist push ups....
but really if you want your punches to hurt more, just get stronger and punch harder

Maaannn...I had a good boxing forum in my bookmarks but I think I deleted it a while back. You can probably check out some instructional videos on youtube or something like that, but nothing beats a real life coach when it comes to learning how to throw, because trying to type out instructions is kinda hard.

you should focus on your technique, your fists and knuckles are really the least important aspect of being a good striker. like dude said your hips, and learning how to shift your weight properly. Timing is huge, there is a big difference in catching someone while they trying to get out the way, compared to someone leaning in to it or not seeing the punch coming.

I do remember a cat I went to school with had callus on all his knuckles, he said he would punch his mattress every night sh*t looked crazy tho.....

Shaolin monks get there knuckles strong by punching hard sh*t like a brick wall all the time. I saw a documentary and thats how they do it. Those are the guys you see brake bricks with their fists.:banghead:

Yeah, but they're properly trained for that, any kind of knuckle conditioning like that requires supervision by a pro. I don't wanna see this n*gga go out and punch a wall and then come back and make a thread about how he broke his knuckles.

when i did kung fu

we would do knuckle only pushups

only use the index and middle knucle

and start on a wood surface, then concrete, then steel

the more stress the bone goes through the more dense it becomes

thus is becomes harder than the surface u worked on

one of my boys from the school broke a guys eye socket in one punch

but he had been conditioning on steel for 4 years

becareful if u cave someones face in i could be consitered

assault with a deadly weapon......

if the cops ask deny deny deny any training

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

and we punch walls for kung fu but only after 2 years of knuckle conditioning

and that means atleast one year on steel

must spread rep to stillfree..........

Yessir, At my gym we do knuckle push-ups on the hardwood floor, the more advanced f!ghters do it on the concrete part.

But I thought a.ssault with a deadly weapon would only be considered for professional f!ghters, who have to register their hands....I could be wrong.

on some real sh*t dawg ...make em bleed....the skin that comes back is always "thicker" (i guess u can call it that)...u need some calluses u can do this multiple times, ull notices it'll be harder to break the skin each time it comes back


hit a bag without gloves for a while, u can punch a wall...but u dont wanna be all up on the wall so it stops ur swing, u wanna kinda have the wall at a distance where ur hands just connect & thats it, remember ur not tryin to knock the wall down, u just wanna scuff ya knuckles up


but just like everybody else is sayin, it doesnt mean ur punches will be any more effective, its just mean ur sh*t wont bleed as easy & wouldnt become much of a distraction if u get into a brawl & ya sh*t busts open

get 3 cinder blocks. feet on one and knuckles on the other 2

do knuckle push ups with one foot in the air and balance on the other.

your sh*t will be right in no time. thats the sh*t we used to do. now we got

a 1/4" steel slab on top of the blocks for fists.

then u can do push-off push ups when ur ready for the next level

keep training

Take up boxing.

I'd take kickboxing/muay thai before I took boxing though.
