how to get shoulders like an NBA player?
 

 
No homo but basketball players tend to have the really broad, defined shoulder muscles

I was wondering if this came a lot from practicing shooting (the reps overhead) or if it was from a workout that basketball trainers emphasize...how can I switch up my routine to get my shoulders bigger like that?

If you're a hunchbacked narrow dude youre never gonna get broad shoulders regardless of how much you press.
Understanding genetics would help alot of people here.

The best way to get broad and really strong shoulders is the handstand pushup.

Its hard to start out so you can start by laying with only your legs on a bench or table and have your body at a 90 degree angle and push your upper body up.

Once you build up the strength move on to the full handstand. Do them against the wall like 5 sets of 5. Its a hard move so don't rush into it. The handstand pushup definitely is a great move though because you have to stabilize you entire body with your arms and shoulders.

Good luck and don't worry if you can't do that many starting off.

I mean i'm obvioiusly not trying to turn into lebron james overnight i'm just wondering if there was something NBA players do cuz they tend to have broader shoulder muscles than other athletes, even like NFL players

Well NBA players do alot of Olympic lifts, which really increases your strenght and gives you alot of mass in your shoulders,legs,chest etc..but do to the fact you may not be experienced with these i would stick to..

Dumbell flys

Side raises w/ dumbells
Reverse Butterflies.

Shrugs are for traps & neck, not too much shoulder...

Well i think Traps is what he means when he refers to the 'shoulders like NBA players' cause that's basically what stands out in the shoulders.

Broad shoulders = genetics.................

If you want to try to give the illusion of wide delts; focus on the lateral, and posterior deltoids and traps. Don't let you're anterior delts become over-developed.
