going 1-3 dint lose us the game down the stretch, you should know better than anybody how many second chance points the jazz got by outrebounding us and getting those offensive boards that basically sealed the win.
and since you mentioned that 1-3 in the last 6 min..yea he did go that..but he missed 2 shots before a.ssisting a yao dunk that got us withing one, then a.ssisting a chuck hayes layup to keep us within 1, Jazz scored again..he hit a layup ot keep us whithin one. then we had to foul due to being almost out of time. He missed some key shots no doubt, But he made some big plays that he if didnt make we arent even in the game. Its not all on his back, he made key plays down the stretch, we just couldnt get it done as a team, we shoulda held onto the lead when we had it.
I'm just saying that a player of McGrady's caliber has to be able to take over games like that down the stretch. You score 27 points up until the final 6 minutes and then from that point you only score 2 points and miss your only free throw attempt?!
I would have a lot more respect if McGrady would say "You know what, its my job to step up in the clutch, and carry this team to victory. Put me in that same situation again and I won't let my teammates down."
Instead you get pus*y a.ss comments like this one he just made after losing Game 1. "I could be as aggressive as I want to be, but if they double-team me, get the ball out of my hands, and we’re not making shots, we’re in for a long night.”
He is basically throwing his teammates under the bus and not accepting ANY responsibility for the loss. He is already posturing to lose the series and saying "Hey don't blame me!"
He's soft like tissue paper.
