Is Losing 400 cal. a day good?!
 

 
I hop on tha treadmill and walk my a.ss off for about an hour....My goal is usually try to lose 400 calories....I also got back into tha habit of eating right...

My question is how much calories do yall usually burn while workin out?

yea as long as you run,it lift some weights you'll be straight since you are helping your body's metabolism in burning even more when you eat..i personally burn 500 or more but i go 2 times a day to the gym...so I've seen results quicker then most would with just one trip to the gym...

That's a healthy calorie deficit if you're trying to lose weight. Keep on that track and make sure you're lifting too.

sh*t, you can have some of my calorie deficit if you want because there's no way in the world I'm going to be able to keep up this 5,000 calorie diet I just started...I'm trying to put weight back on which is proving to be impossible post-marathon...

i usually burn about 700 a day when i go to the gym. and then i lift weights about 3 days a week. im trying to lose weight so far i lost ten pounds in about two weeks. my cardio i mix it up i do 30 mins on the treadmill and then 30 mins on the cross trainer. i never do less than a hour of cardio when i got . and i eat nothing but chicken and i take protein shakes instead of some meals and it seems to be working for me. so 400 is good try to step it up and you see results quicker. cross trainer and stationary bike is good too.

I heard losing 5lbs a week aint really good for u tho...How much do u weigh?

i was 260 lbs now im 250. the thing is im short im only 5'6. they say im suppose to be around 140-160 so i figure ima drop pounds quick then ima reach a point where im not dropping squat lol. but yea dont get me wrong i dont starve myself i just really keep my eating habit in check. i get my veggies and protein and all that good stuff.i think the reason i lost that pounds was i cut all the junk food out you know body getting rid of the bad stuff for the first few weeks. no more junk food. kfc mc donalds. none of that and when i eat out i order a chicken salad. or some chicken with mashed potatoes and veggies.

ouch..juss cuttin out the smallest thing will help u lose weight..stop drinkin soda is a good one...if ur suppose to be 140-160 @ 5'6 i need to step up..peaking @ about 140 @ 5'11

Why are you walking on the treadmill instead of jogging or running? If you can maintain 80%-90% of your max heart rate for about 20 mins you are gold.

i try to burn 500 riding an exercise bike every weekday...it works pretty good...400 is a good number though if you are eating right and doing that you are gonna lose weight pretty easily...

yea its just thinking long term and staying focused. i know thats my prob i wanna lose it all at once you just gotta remember its alot easier to put on then take off. and its gonna take sometime just stay at it and you will get to your ideal weight.

yeah me too takes me like 45 minutes. My legs are good but my a.ss be sore as a mothafu*ka when im riding the bike. Sh1t gets boring riding the bike for 45 minutes and just staring into the sky til the time is up though. I think im just going to buy me one for my house so i can do that sh*t while watching tv

On my cutting program I was burning 770 cal a day in around 50-60 mins..

Hard work and always got run down though (Colds etc)..

7700 cal = 1 kg of fat. So I hoping to lose 1kg every 10 days of cardio..

Truthfully it came quicker than that though, because of metabolic effects. Doing cardio raises metabolism and burns more cals..

Also when I was burning all those cals for some reason I would eat less and naturally choose healthier food.

Gotta get back onto the program though once this knee heals. Another 5kg to go.

Im about 125-130... I began to run the treadmill because I ironically had layers of fat over my abs and I wanted em to show... I ran daily for about 4 or 5 days...losing 500 calories everytime...and before I knew it my abs were golden. I also lost a little facial fat which made my cheekbones more prominent, it was kind of weird so I stopped. But the fat over my pack is slowly coming back...

you wont lose 500 calories walking for an hour. if you can run on the treadmill for 20-30 minutes it would be much better. you would lose about 400 calories, give or take. and weight lifting (rigorously) for an hour and a half you can lose upto 450 calories. a.ssuming you lift hard and right.
