Only reason why this thread was created because the ultimate d*ck rider is now having doubt about them winning the championship. He knows if Kobe can't get it done with Odom and Gasol on his team, Kobe is a fu*kin failure.

Thus, he's trying to downplay Kobe's teammates in order to make it seem as if Kobe is still playing with scrubs, because he knows the Lakers aint winning sh*t when push comes to shove.

Pretty much this queerbait is trying to keep a lingering excuse for Kobe's inevitable failures in the playoffs.
Word, sounds about right.

ok what's your point?

the threadstarter said that it's not b/c of pau that lakers are playing so well... and that's the truth... its' because they got rid of the joke that is kwame brown.... and put in someone decent.

this thread is not about the "other changes", it's about the one change: pau

@ you..did you even read his post...

he said "seriously this is damn near the same team from last year just more experienced and phil and brian shaw will tell you why." Stop trying to act like point isn't valid because it is son...especially if you actually read his post. He is in fact saying there are almost NO CHANGES..which is the whole point I am making...READ THEN TALK

Plus he said Pau isn't a "difference maker" and we BOTH know that is total bullsh*t...he's a former all star and a 20-8 guy they didn't have, especially while Bynum is out..he is CLEARLY a difference maker...wake up

this dude cant be serious, i just had to read this thread. if pau gasol isnt a BIG improvement over kwame brown, then i dont kno what improving is. kwame moves like a bag of bolts on the court, and his footwork aint even close to pau. the lake show is def better becuz of that trade.

these gotta be some of the dumbest characters ever man. they are so fu*king dumb if they actually tried to sit down and read they would see that i said brad miller wouldve been a considerable upgrade not just pau. kwame hurt the team and him being replaced with anybody would see the lakers do better. like shaq is hurting phonexi kwame was 1000000000000000000000000000000 times that without the hands or scoring ability as shaq. it shows the comprehesion and intellegence level of these dweebs. im rolling reading the responses. its obvious n*gga dont watch or know a lick of basketball. its sad.

yea getting rid of mo evans and brian cook and getting ariza in return is a big difference for the lakers  are you serious? you honestly think ariza is the difference maker? and he was acquired 1/4th of the way thru the season.

and of course pau si a difference maker, but so is farmar and vujajic. u could putbrad miller, he's right, and he would be just as big a difference maker as pau

@ you ignoring Fisher like I didn't mention him

Ariza >>>>> Evans and Cook and you know it

They had Farmar and Vujajic last year...we are talking about the difference between last year and this year..maybe they are playing a little better..but you don't think having 2-3 scoring options instead of just one gives them better looks?

And Brad Miller has NEVER been the player Pau is, he would be an improvement over Kwame's bum a.ss...but NOT AS BIG an improvement as Pau is. Pau's worst season >>>>>> Miller's best

ARE YOU SLOW??

Derek Fisher was the starting PG last year?

You don't even recognize starting lineup changes in the team

And don't even act like Fish isn't an improvement at PG

you coulda put in ilgauskus over kwame instead of pau and lakers would still be in the same position as they are now

im not denying it's a better team, but it's basically the same team... and the reason it's better team is b/c of Kobe

and i warned all you guys and made a thread when kobe was asking for trade... this would be his BEST year ever... and its turning out true and u guys dont want to give him the credit for making his teammates better

the reason its a better team is because the lakers replaced brown with a former all star . kobe aint doing anything different. hes just on a better team

lets be serious for a second. i dont think people really look at the siuation from a logical standpoint. they take the ''anyway to devalue a certain person stance'' and we all know who that person is. but people never bring up how incompitant kwame brown was and how much he slowed down the offense and hurt the game. pau is a good player but before last night he played sh*tty in 3 straight games and we won 2 of them. but back to kwame. 70% of the entry passes to him were dropped or mishandled totally throwing the offense outta wack. and when he did catch it he usually threw it off the backboard and if he was lucky enough to get fouled he prayed to split the pair. people dont realize how much that can hurt a team. people act like the offense is ran thru pau like it was thru shaq back in the day. pau gets his touches but hes efficient and can hit freethrow everything kwame couldnt do. hell if we got brad miller for kwame it would be a signifigant step up pau gasol is just a bigger name and a better talent so people automatically get excited. but fail to realize pua lead the grizzles to one of the worst records in the league and can be a defensive liability at times. but before that it was bynum but no one pays attention to the constant. i wonder why? but seriously this is damn near the same team from last year just more experienced and phil and brian shaw will tell you why. a certain laker is riding everyone in practice and working on every aspect of the game with them and its been well known. even kareem spoke on it. whats more impressive is that this is the toughest confrence in the history of basketball and the lakers are excelling. i wonder if this team was in any other era how they would fare. if they had the privleage to play in a watered down league as the bulls did they wouldve won 70. phil said himself countless times the last bulls run was the product of a watered down league and a stacked roster. and these lakers are playing in none of that. the only team back then was the bulls worth a sh*t that actually stayed together. all the other teams broke up. and the bulls kept addding vets and hall of famers. only if these lakers were as privelaged
You don't know a damn thing about b-ball. Gasol is a top 5 big man in the NBA today. He can shoot, post, pass, run and defend. The results speak for themselves. He was on very bad team in a small market.
