Substitute for a T bar?
 

 
Started a new workout its suppose to help build 10 lbs of muscle in a month one of the back ones is Tbar rows my gym doesnt have a T bar tho does anyone know a good workout I can use to substitute for the T bar?

take a rowing pulley thing, take an olympic bench bar, put a plate at the bottom of the bar to stabilize it, put the pulley at the top of the bar to pull the olympic bar, add weight , there you go you got a t-bar. If you didn't understand this just to bent-over barbell rowing

barbell rows can be used instead of the t-bar without sacrificing much. good luck with your workout.

I think he's talking about german volume training

Consists of 10 sets of 10 reps with the same weight troughout the whole 10 sets, and the same exercise.

Do that one day for back and and pecs, the other bis and triceps, the last one shoulder legs.

German bodybuilders used to do this off-season to put weight.

If its your first time doing it, eating well and doing all the reps with good form you could gain easily 3-4 pounds in one month.

10 pounds is surreal, that would be 120 pounds a year, you'd become bigger than ronnie coleman [/end bursting bubble]

sounds like your working out with a gimmick..... just train hard and do your homework

use the olympic bar for bent over rows, same as t-bar..... or you can put the olmypic bar in the corner of a room and load one side with weights, attach a seated row grip and do bentover rows that way

my bad for not upping this haven't checked here much thanks for the help with the tbar though i just did more barbell rows although i might try and do the olympic bar as i really want a t bar. but heres the workout i know it wasnt gonna do 10 lbs ina month alone but it was combined with a strict diet which i of coruse didnt follow. didnt get 10 lbs of muscle but definetly got bigger in my biggest muscles..


weeks 1-2 all sets in weeks 1-2 are 6-8 reps so your suppose to use more weight than your use to

day 1 chest and tris

incline barbell press
flat bench dumbbell press
weighted dip
close grip lying bench press
triceps extension

day 2 legs +abs

smith machine squats
leg press
hack squat
Romanian dead lift (didnt do these)
standing calf raise
Hanging leg raise
Cable Crunch (slacked off abs a few times)

day 3 shoulders + traps
overhead dumbbell press
Arnold press
barbell upright row
bent over lateral raise
dumbbell shrug

day 4 back biceps and abs
dead lift
barbell bent over row
tbar row
barbell curl
incline dumbbell curl
preacher curl
crunch
reverse crunch

weeks 3-4
each set is done with reps of 10-12 3 sets each

day 1 chest and back
dumbbell flye
bench press
incline dumbbell press
cable crossover
rack pull (just did regular deadlifts)
lat pulldown
one arm dumbbell row
wide grip seated row

day 2 legs
leg extension
barbell squat
