yea I hear ya.

I'm recreating this thread now that the offseason has arrived. I'll have a little more time on my hands to update smaller websites that I'm involved with such as Boxden and Finheaven.

I also added the "Boxden Dolphin Ring Of Honor" on the 1st post to identify those of you who have been here supporting Miami through the thick and thin.

I'll keep you guys up to date throughout the next 7 months on everything the best I can. You know I'm good for my word as always.

Let's turn this franchise around.

Go Miami

Expect much more action to take place in the media regarding the Dolphins tomorrow after the Conference Championships are played.

Miami is known to be possibly targeting Giants' offensive coordinator Kevin Gilbride for their vacant position and also considering a 2nd interview with Rex Ryan for the defensive coordinator position available a.ssuming he doesn't accept a head coaching job somewhere else.

Also, former UCLA coach Karl Dorrell is expected to accept the Miami Dolphins WR Coaching Job.

Meanwhile, Dallas Cowboys linebackers coach Paul Pasqualoni and secondary coach Todd Bowles also could soon join Miami's staff, as has been speculated since even before Sparano officially accepted the job Wednesday. Pasqualoni could be named defensive coordinator and Bowles a.ssistant head coach.

ok, i dont watch or know that much about college, but the Karl Dorell, was he a head coach???

i dont quite see how a college guy could help an nfl player...especially when it comes down to positional coaching...assistant coaching, special teams coaching fine...but it just doesnt seem right for him to be a wr coach...just like i wouldnt expect to a college guy coach qb in the nfl

who r some wrs from the teams he coached...are they anybody now???that could heavily change my opinion

Karl Dorrell was a WR's coach for the Denver Broncos and was credited with the career rise of Pro Bowl WR's Rod Smith and Ed McCaffrey. With the help of Dorrell, Smith and McCaffrey became only the 2nd wide receiver duo to each catch 100 passes in a single season (2000).

And yes Dorrell was head coach at UCLA.

truthfully with as many consistent losing seasons that we've been experiencing and with inconsistency in coaching, the fans' and media's opinions are obviously going to be back and forth.

You have those fans who jump ship anytime change comes around and then there are those who are naturally skeptical about bringing over most of the Dallas Cowboys personnel.

I personally feel like Parcells is much better suited for being President Of Operations as he is a coach and his decisions I'll trust over the general consensus of fans and media.

The Cowboys became the team they are today when Parcells took over. Between Jimmy Johnson and Parcells the Cowboys were no more then mediocre however they have not won a playoff game in 11 years last I checked.

It's really up in the air and truthfully only time will tell.

Supposedly radio stations in Philadelphia today have been rumoring that the Dolphins are in the works of working out a trade for Eagles QB Donovan McNabb.

I haven't heard anything on this at all officially but the radio stations in Philadelphia were airing it all this morning. Supposedly one of the representatives of the stations was sitting behind a Dolphin rep. discussing the trade on the phone.

I still think this is bogus but I'll certainly look into it for you all.

Former Carolina Panther offensive coordinator Dan Henning has recently emerged as the primary target to become the new Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator.

Henning also brings head coaching experience as he was the head coach of the San Diego Chargers and Atlanta Falcons in the 1980's and early 90's.

MOBILE, Ala. - Former NFL coach and Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Dan Henning has emerged as the leading candidate to become the Dolphins' offensive coordinator, according to two sources.

Henning, who has had head-coaching stints with the Falcons (1983-86) and San Diego Chargers (1989-91), is expected to succeed fired coach Cam Cameron as the director of the Dolphins' 28th-ranked offense (yards).

Henning also ran the Bills' offense from 1997-98 and the Redskins' offense (1981-82, 1987-88).

Henning has been the Panthers offensive coordinator since 2002, but he was fired last week after a disappointing 8-8 season. If he is hired, Henning would be reunited with recently named Dolphins offensive line coach Mike Maser, who worked for the Panthers from 2003-06.

it looks like every team he worked with he only stayed two years. i dont know if thats how the contracts are worked out, but to me it looks like none of the teams wanted to keep him for long..

"Henning had two stints as the offensive coordinator with the Washington Redskins (1981-82, 1987-88). He won two Super Bowl rings during this time."

As I reported before, Karl Dorrell is expected to be the Dolphins' new WR's Coach sometime this week.

[pic - click to view]

Also, James Saxon will be named the Dolphins' new RB's coach. Saxon was just recently fired by Kansas City, having been brought in originally by Vermeil. He was held responsible for the success of RB's Priest Holmes and Larry Johnson.
Just some updated stuff for you.
