I am a recent cord cutter and it's been approximately 3 months. I have no regrets but I totally understand where you're coming from with regard to image quality. It's just not as crisp, that being said the savings far outweigh everything else IMO. The stuff that I am really interested in I just run a sever with Plex and stream off my home network. This allows me to have that top notch quality.

With my 3 iptv services i have every channel in the world including ppv and all sports packages all for a combined price of $27 a month.
But I am a believer that if you have a tv over 70 inches or have a OLED/QLED = you feed it with the best sources. No different than paying for a sports car. I have the best of both worlds. I have a nvidia shield, 4k firestick and regular firestick.
In due time I will slowly get rid of my Premiums on FIOS but again my issue is the delay.

Seconds later delay (Latency)
Example: Watching a football game via IPTV vs your next-door neighbor watching the same game on traditional TV, loudly celebrating goals and whatever that you have to wait another 45 seconds to see.
I know what you're talking about with the Sports delay and you're right that's its annoying as fu*k, but those few seconds just ain't worth over $1K a year.

Image Quality hasn't been an issue for me. Actually with the IPTV services I have, the image quality on most channels is much better than my Cable Service (FIOS) because its raw uncompressed video compared to Cable, and FIOS is the best out there in regards to image quality. (I am referring to black market iptv services)
However my issue has been audio quality on some channels as I can definitely hear the difference in my surround sound system when watching IPTV compared to Cable but again it varies by channel.

For cord cutters I highly recommend copping a premium 4K tv. I recently purchased a Samsung QLED and it literally does a hell of a job up-converting everything I feed it to the best image quality.

True its all about preference and im learning to adapt and get use to it but in the beginning it was a royal pain to me for example getting sports text alerts on my phone notifying me of events that already ended that I was currently watching.
In the end I will probably dump all my premium channels and hold on to basic cable.

I disabled all sports notifications on my phone. That was an easy one cause a lot of that sh*t was turning into TMZ type drama. All I care about is games.

You sound like you're good on streaming, but if you need HD let me know. I still have invites for a private streaming site I have from reddit. I don't know the exact resolution but it looks amazing.

And it's EVERY game. I'm watching every single Browns game this year. Baker is my dude. I expect big things over his career.

Yeah Did both unless you getting a deal on your internet as a stand-alone product in about 60% of cases you actually overpay. My deal with Comcast is 69 bucks that’s cable and internet up to 100mbs. If I get it separate it’s 89 for just the internet plus whatever the additional cost of the streaming service.

The only reason I have cable is that I only pay $10/month for the best package of Direct TV due to my employee discount. If that ever goes away, I'm cutting the cord.

I used to work at DISH and they had a similar employee discount: the best package (290 channels + SHO/Starz/Encore/HBO/Cinemax) completely free, all you pay for is your receivers. This is before they lost HBO/Max

I had their best DVR, which lets you watch and record 16 shows at the same time, plus everything I mentioned above for $16/mo. Easily the best TV experience I've ever had.

Sadly I lost it when I moved to a historic building that doesn't allow satellite dishes...

I can’t cut the chord. That sh*t feel weird, and I do not watch much TV.

But I can basically log into any streaming site because I got all the channels. I could be saving about $140 a month if I only had internet, but I would just buy more weed and want to watch TV.

I got rid of cable last spring b/c I wasn't paying $200+ to watch a handful of shows. Now I pay $80 for Internet + $50 PS Vue.

Thing is though all these different streaming apps coming out and I'm not paying for those either.

Insanity- when he already has every channel for $30 a month-.

$220 a month because he wants to avoid the 30 second lag when he's watching a sports event.

If this isn't dipsh*t status, I don't know what is. You n*ggaz need to leave the house more

Thats the main issue with many people and one of the main reasons why Cable tv is not going anywhere. As much as I try to tell her, I gave my mom a firestick with 2 iptv services on it. She literally has every channel in the world and don't realize it.
My answer to you would be that you need to try to educate her on what she actually has in regards to the firestick. Once "familiarity" has been established she will then understand what whatever you have installed on her firestick has to offer.
In regards to electronics in general too many people today only care more about what it is vs learning what it does.
I know many people who are fore example instagram specialist in regards to adding filters, emojis and music to their photos but don't know sh*t else about the phone or whatever smart device they are using.
And what irks me the most is that its not Until they need to know something that they will contact you expecting you to jump to attention and cater to them asap after they didn't give a sh*t when you was trying to teach them the 1st 2nd or 3rd time around which is the main reason why I no longer fu*k with Kodi as its not for the average Joe and requires constant updates.
End Vent.

How is it dipsh*t status in regards to what I choose to do with my money?
I obviously have the means to have and do what I want.
My pockets are not hurting because of cable.
Worry about your own pockets.
And like I said before, why for example cop a $2,600 tv to only push cheap $30 service through it.

It's not about having the means- it's about poor financial management.

Especially coming from a n*gga who was up in the student loan thread crying about how he's drowning in debt and begging for forgiveness but at the same time spending $220 on cable to save 30 seconds when he already has a $30 option providing him the same fu*king access

I know enough to know that you were crying and begging for a student loan bailout.

Yet here you are spending $220 ($2,640 a year) on cable to save 30 seconds when you have a $30 option with the same access. That's bad financial management- especially when you're up in the thread crying about the amount of debt you're carrying

Lol @ crying. I was giving an opinion on student debt that effects many of us.
That don't mean I am hurting for money.
Only pussies care about another man's pockets.
I been told you and others on here who claim to live in or around the DMV you can definitely come see me. I am not hard to find. Howard County if you care so much about how I live.
I am typing this right now at home getting paid while your a*s is probably at work
