Don't pay cash. Put minimum down, make payments. Better things to do with cash then throw it all into a depreciating a.sset.
I understand cars are a depreciating a.sset but why should I pay the price of the car over a longer period including interest rather than just paying everything at once? Even if I finance I will be responsible for paying off the car eventually.

Nice car only thing is for 15k your not getting one for under 90,000 miles. How reliable are they?
You could most def get one in that range for 15k

Does year matter to you? I'm speaking the 3rd generation 06-2011

Edit:. You're right
I was searching on dealer auctions that's probably why I saw a few but a regular search I didn't find that many

Because you would most-likely gain more from investing it than the interest you would pay. Also, cash is king. Always hold on to your cash or invest it if you can. If you were to get fired tomorrow, at least you could use the cash to pay your bills for awhile until you get back on your feet. You could put $15k down on a $70k house to rent out. You could put $15k into stocks. Once you put it into a car, it's gone unless you sell the car... which we know for a fact will depreciate. Leverage your money.

Buy you a nice used Honda, Toyota, or Hyundai in 10-13 year range with cash. Don't even think about financing you got good money. Keep that to pay your bills and hopefully put a down payment on either buying a house to live or flip. Those 3 car brands I named are indestructible and last a long time.

Don't buy a spanking brand new 2017 car unless you ballin enough to pay the whole thing without getting a loan.

Basically, you have $15,000 to buy a new/used car. You do not have another car to trade in with your purchase. What do you buy and why?

Since I live in NY, I would probably get a AWD drive car (sedan). Infiniti G37, M35 or a Subaru. Or just get a 2014-15 Hyundai Sonata. Nothing too fancy or too old.
