Would an Infiniti Q70 be a bad move?

I don't know, man. I test drive a 2018 A5 and then went across the street and test drive a 2018 Q60 3.0T and that Infiniti was INCREDIBLE to drive. Keep in mind I have never owned a luxury car. My first car was a Hyundai Sonata and my second car (which I still drive) is a 2009 Nissan Altima coupe with CVT lol.

But that A5 felt like a regular a.ss car. Looks gorgeous though. The Q60 felt like an S5 just 15k cheaper
I'm just not a Nissan fan. Infinitis use old out dated tech and architectures. Plus the materials just aren't as great. Then again to get a decent Audi you're gonna have to spend more than $50k unless you want to take a chance and buy a used one.

I’d rather buy a used luxury car than a new top of the line Honda or Mazda.
I feel you, is nice to turn heads when you're driving down the street. But to me luxury cars are for people who have disposable income. If you're buying a luxury car and just making it on your bills then you're only setting yourself up to go broke in the future. Maintenance on luxy cars cost more, insurance cost more and they usually have worse gas milage so every day, week, and month you're paying more just to turn heads.

It’s not about just turning heads. The way they drive, the technology, the craftsmanship...

So, faced with spending $25k on a used luxury car or a new car, I’m going to take the luxury car. Maintenance isn’t much more unless you get something crazy. Especially if you get a Lexus, you can get it serviced at Toyota and save money.

I'm in the market for a new car and I've noticed that for $45K you're getting a 4 cylinder Audi whereas for $45K you're getting a V6 Infiniti.
I’m telling you bruh. Go look at the 2.0 2019 accord sport. Don’t hurt to look. You might like it.

Infiniti is decent but if you want luxury for 45k Lexus is the way to go. Will outlast every infinit on the road.

I appreciate the feedback and recommendation but I'm only into coupes. It's going to be either an S5, 435/440, or a Q60 3.0

My Family all have Acura and Im not too fond of them. Good car though. The Maxima looks weird to me. I'm considering the Lexus. No more KIA for me, want something different.

Thats why i like lexus it's the best of both worlds. Even though honda, kia, acura he'll most cars in general are starting to look sportier. When i walk pass nissians and impaled, malibus n sh*t in the lot with peanut butter guts n sh*t its crazy but idk. I had one kia Sorrento while it was nice wit a lil bit of wood in it I switch for a lexus and now im on my 2nd lex. Even though I still got an older model older Lexus still have better sh*t than some of these new cars got as far as features and sound etc.

I got an 07 gs350 awd sh*t feels good bout to switch the dash for a tesla style android dash and swop out the headlights for projectors with led sh*ts Gucci. Reliability and luxury feel. I go on lexus club forums with people pushing 300k miles on they sh*t with basic maintenance. I still like the cls though but idk much about reliability of benz but I know can well its expensive. Lexus not so much even if you needed to. Imma stick with what I know is built to last essentially Toyota.

Very honest and real response I respect it. People can afford to purchase luxury vehicles but cant afford the maintenance that is where people mess up.

My Dad has had 2 CL; AMG 63 & 65 and something is always fu*kin up on it. He has the dough to get it fixed and keeps it in pristine condition with kleemann mods and top notch exhaust but I'm just tired of hearing about the sh*t. It's supposed to be his retirement ride, not something he has to keep working on or worrying about lol!

My daily is still my 2006 GS 300 AWD. Still running strong as f. It’s been a great car, I’m just sick of having it for so long. The 3rd generation GS is a great car.

Check out clublexus forums. As far as the lights most Japanese cars have aftermarket customization parts. The dash wasn't even on my radar as far as a tesla style but I've been on android indashes for years. They range anywhere from 10" to 13"

As far as lights you can just search amazon or eBay for projector lights or tail lights

If you gon get the Q70, you might as well get the M37 6 cylinder or the M56 8 cylinder. I just recently got a 2012 M56s it has all the same features only thing they did was update the radio, all around camera and the headlight/tailghts and grill. Its the same car from 2011 you can get it for way less.

Not sure why people dont fu*k with new acuras, I would get the type sh awd TLX.

If not the acura what about the maxima? k900? You got a lot of options with a 45k budget.

This website is good for comparing cars..it breaks it down by year and even trim. The maxima is cheaper and its not that far off performance wise from the q70. you also get better gas mileage and IMO the maxima looks better than the q70 but that's just me.

So I've been in the market for a new ride for about 6 months now. I test driven and like the Infiniti Q70, but I'd be real upset if they change the body and interior within the next 2 years. I at least want 2 years of use out of the thing before I get the dated feeling. I've seen no news of them changing the dated in-dash to the Q60 style, but I feel it's coming with a total redesign.

Should I grab a used 2016-18 now for $35-40k or wait and lease a 2020? My budget is $45k max. I'm coming from a KIA Optima with 126k miles on it now.

Here's what it looks like now:

Had a 2011 M37s and it was a great car and the interior was the same as the 2018 your looking at. It's very dated so I would pass. I would check out a GS350. 5series depreciate quick so you might get a better deal on one of them but the maintenance is crazy

I test drove the q70 and the q50. I'm leaning toward the q50. The q70 is bigger car than I want and I like the handling of the q50. I did feel the ride was more comfortable on the q70 though. I do see your point about the interior refresh but I havent read anything about upcoming changes. Also keep in mind most manufacturers are k!lling off their full size sedans to replace them with SUVs. Infiniti just launched the qx50 with is doing really well. You might want to take a look at that.
