Would an Infiniti Q70 be a bad move?

So I've been in the market for a new ride for about 6 months now. I test driven and like the Infiniti Q70, but I'd be real upset if they change the body and interior within the next 2 years. I at least want 2 years of use out of the thing before I get the dated feeling. I've seen no news of them changing the dated in-dash to the Q60 style, but I feel it's coming with a total redesign.

Should I grab a used 2016-18 now for $35-40k or wait and lease a 2020? My budget is $45k max. I'm coming from a KIA Optima with 126k miles on it now.

Here's what it looks like now:

the q70 is not worth it... the performance, the fuel economy... you can do better. I would suggest the q50 over the q70 honestly.. This is coming from someone that owned one...

The interior is extremely dated and overdue for a refresh. Also, Nissan/Infiniti is going through a lot of troubles at the corporate level, so I'd wait it out.

Get another Kia and don't give away you're money for cache. But a used top of the line Honda, Mazda or whatever and you'll be just as happy. You'll spend 8-10k less that's money you can invest in your future. Vacation, home down payment or investing in a business or stocks

Iíll pass on the Q50, too small for me. I like the size for the Q70.

Theyíre not the same size, the 70 is bigger. The L has an extended body than the regular.

Very bad move. Get a Kia Stinger. It's an all around better car. You can get a great deal on a well equipped one.

Just got an Acura TLX a-spec with the all wheel drive....I’m in love with this car, I was a Honda Accord lover, had the last 2 body styles. Little tight inside if you’re a big guy, but it’s so much fun to drive.

Iíd rather buy a used luxury car than a new top of the line Honda or Mazda.

I gave Infiniti a shot (q45, q50,...), , never again (well unless they evolve)!

Made the switch to BMW!

If you’re determined to go with Japanese, go with Lexus. Hell even a KIA Stinger would be viable alternative.

Not sure why people dont fu*k with new acuras, I would get the type sh awd TLX.

If not the acura what about the maxima? k900? You got a lot of options with a 45k budget.

This website is good for comparing cars..it breaks it down by year and even trim. The maxima is cheaper and its not that far off performance wise from the q70. you also get better gas mileage and IMO the maxima looks better than the q70 but that's just me.

Why not get a Lexus if you want to waste 45k

more reliable and much better resale value

if you can find the q70 hybrid it will give you the fuel economy you want and the electric motor some make up in performance for the extra weight of the car cause if not you will need to get the v8 if you wanted a big sporty car

My Family all have Acura and Im not too fond of them. Good car though. The Maxima looks weird to me. I'm considering the Lexus. No more KIA for me, want something different.

Why do you say waste, when in my case a car is a need? I'm at the end of life with what I have.

If you got 45k to burn on a whip you can spend 33k on a honda accord sport 2.0 and pocket the rest for a island vacation if ur into that stuff

or even just have an extra 12k sitting around for whatever else

45 for an infiniti is not a good investment. might as well grab an audi if you balling like that

The new Acura body style is so ugly to me. Just like the new Audi body styles are trash.

I'm in the market for a new car and I've noticed that for $45K you're getting a 4 cylinder Audi whereas for $45K you're getting a V6 Infiniti.

But that 4 cylinder Audi will out accelerate the Infiniti. It's an old engine mated to an even older transmission. At least it's not the craptacular Nissan CVT.

I don't know, man. I test drive a 2018 A5 and then went across the street and test drive a 2018 Q60 3.0T and that Infiniti was INCREDIBLE to drive. Keep in mind I have never owned a luxury car. My first car was a Hyundai Sonata and my second car (which I still drive) is a 2009 Nissan Altima coupe with CVT lol.

But that A5 felt like a regular a*s car. Looks gorgeous though. The Q60 felt like an S5 just 15k cheaper
