Not Bad!

However Professor X and Magneto are around the same age, in fact Erik might actually be Older than Charles if I remember correctly

Realistically I don't expect MCU X-Men to be Star Studded besides the Key Characters like Wolverine, Professor X and maybe Magneto

Hawkeye’ Disney Plus Series Eyes Hailee Steinfeld for Lead Role (EXCLUSIVE)
Hailee Steinfeld could soon be part of the Marvel family. Variety has learned exclusively from sources that Steinfeld has been offered a lead role in the upcoming “Hawkeye” series at Disney Plus.

The limited series will see Jeremy Renner reprise the role of the titular bow-wielding hero that he has played through multiple films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, most recently in “Avengers: Endgame.” Should Steinfeld join the series, she would play Kate Bishop. Bishop is a Marvel Comics character who took up the Hawkeye mantle after Clint Barton (Renner). She is also a member of the group known as the Young Avengers. It was reported last week that Jonathan Igla is attached to write and executive produce the series.

Starring in the series would likely represent a long-term investment in Steinfeld on Marvel’s part. Given the Disney-owned company’s uncanny ability to build up onscreen franchises around even their lesser-known characters, it is reasonable to a*sume that the Bishop character would eventually spin off into either her own standalone series or even appear in the MCU.

Reps for Disney Plus and Steinfeld did not immediately respond to Variety‘s request for comment.

This would mark Steinfeld’s second TV starring role. She is the lead in the upcoming Apple series “d*ckinson,” in which she will play the famous 19th century poet Emily d*ckinson. Steinfeld is primarily known for her film roles. She received an Oscar nomination for her breakout role the Coen brothers’ remake of “True Grit.” She is also known for starring in films such as “The Edge of Seventeen,” “Bumblebee,” the “Pitch Perfect” franchise, and for lending her voice to the Oscar-winning animated film “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.” Steinfeld has also enjoyed a successful music career, including her platinum-certified debut single “Love Myself,” double-platinum-selling “Starving” with Grey featuring Zedd, platinum-selling anthem “Most Girls,” and “Let Me Go” featuring Florida Georgia Line.

She is repped by CAA and Hirsch Wallerstein.

Variety exclusively reported on the “Hawkeye” series back in April, with Marvel confirming the news during their Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con. There are also Disney Plus limited series one the way that will focus on MCU characters like Falcon and Winter Soldier, as well as Loki, and Vision and Scarlet Witch. Disney announced at D23 that there will be shows based on the Marvel characters Ms. Marvel, Moon Knight, and She-Hulk as well. The series are expected to be six to eight episodes. They will be produced by Marvel Studios and Kevin Feige, who has headed up the MCU for years. The shows are also expected to have large budgets compared to other television projects.

Really curious how they do the xmen.....it would work perfectly in this climate because of all the PC and backlash surrounding the prejudice against mutants...but the back stories would be fu*ked...mainly magneto and professor x....those dudes had a lot of ties to nazi Germany and the holocaust and in this day and age it wouldnt work cause they would be too old....gotta change up the whole backstory for major characters....very curious to see how they are introduced

EXCLUSIVE: Marvel Studios Considering Making Professor X & Magneto POC In ‘X-Men’ Reboot

The X-Men could have a unique twist to them when Marvel Studios rolls out their inevitable reboot. Kevin Feige and co. are considering having people of color portray both Magneto and Professor X in the MCU, Full Circle Cinema has learned.

While this change wouldn’t alter much for Charles Xavier as he was born in New York to a wealthy family, it may lead to Marvel Studios taking some liberties with Erik Lehnsherr’s origin. In the pages of Marvel Comics, Magneto was born in the 1920s to a Jewish family. During World War 2, Erik was sent to Auschwitz, a Nazi concentration camp. With the current MCU taking place in 2023, it’s difficult to imagine a 100-year-old Magneto taking on the X-Men.

Marvel Studios will have to take some steps to differentiate its incarnation of the X-Men from what Fox has done over the better part of the last two decades. Making two of the potential leads of the franchise people of color could be a huge step in doing that as well as helping to push the diversity of the MCU forward.

arlier this year, Feige spoke about representation in the MCU and how he believes it’s the future of the franchise. “So, the notion of representation on screen, in front of and behind the camera, somebody asked me once, so is Black Panther a one-off? I said, no, it’s not a one-off,” Feige told The Wrap. “This is the future. This is the way the world is, and the way, certainly, our studio’s going to be run going forward, because it brings about better stories. The more diverse the group of people making the movie is, the better the stories.”

When the X-Men were to make their live-action debut for the 2000 film, Fox enlisted veteran actors Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellen to tackle the roles of Professor X and Magneto. They would portray the characters until the studio decided to do a soft reboot of the franchise with X-Men: First Class and James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender took over the roles. Although McKellen and Stewart would appear again in Days of Future Past alongside their younger counterparts.

Would you be excited to see Profesor X and Magneto be people of color in the MCU? Who should portray the duo in Marvel Studios’ X-Men reboot? Let us know in the comments below.
