The removal of the jack has little to do with "trends" in the sense of everything moving to wireless, and more to do about thinness of the device. Headphone jacks are too big for some manufactures that want the thinnest device. (yet they will make a phone that's enormous in height/length)

Not much diff than "ultrabook" laptops that want to be the thinness and lightest that remove the standard USB port (USB-A) and only put USB-C ports on the device (requiring a "dongle" or additional cord to go from C to A).

Guess I've just gotten used to not having the ole traditional USB port anymore on the laptop anymore, but I do enjoy having a 13" laptop that has a bigger, mostly bezel-less screen that has more screen than my older 15" travel laptop...is thinner and much lighter overall to carry in backpack.

Only use headphones for my runs and yes the cord was always in the way. The Bose Soundsport ear buds are just bad a*s, bro.

Im trying the Airpods out now and I dont have complaints, I like the freedom of just standing up and walking away from my phone

not that beats couldnt do that also but I was just given the airpods for free so thats what im working with

the battery for the airpods wasnt working right at first but I just think they didnt have a full charge. If companies arnt going to have the 3.5mm headphone jack then bluetoothing and wireless is the future

actin like yall are sound engineers and sh*t lol

i own high end ultimate ears studio monitor ear phones.. they work great when i need some type of extreme listening which never happens..still use jbl over the head bt headphones.. i use it with the cord so it doesnt use battery n i hate going to bt settings to connect to what i want..

that all being said, im using my airpods everytime when its on the go. the size and the way its synced to an iphone just work seamlessly (word to gruden and ab on hard knocks)

give it up man no one uses wired headphones anymore
I Do

I'm still not convinced that Bluetooth constantly emitting signals tat close to my brain is safe.

I'm wired all day and I'll switch brands if they want to emit the headphone jack

the audio quality you get via connecting with a traditional headphone jack is plain and simply superior to bluetooth. Dont @ me

until the day comes when bluetooth audio quality is superior to a traditional 3.5 headphone jack, ima need that headphone jack mane
THIS.THIS.THIS!!! Why the fu*k did they think it's a good idea to take away options from consumers. I'm with you breh. Need that 3.5

dont fall into the hype guys

the whole "no headphone jack" thing, is just a way to sell you adapters, bluetooth headphones and extra accessories

companies make a lot of money via those things

fu*k Bluetooth earphones/AirPods and people who use them as a status symbol (). Easy to drop, easy to lose one. Wired all day. Plus, I like how the wire is more obvious and basically tells people “don’t talk to me” while I’m out and about doing my own thing. It usually works. My coworker asked me “you don’t want AirPods?” and I said “I already have to worry about charging my phone. The fu*k I wanna worry about having to charge what I use to listen to music on top of that?”

i drive a 2016 ford explorer with no aux. I didn't mind the bluetooth until i started hearing audio drops. I don't know wtf is happening but I really wish there was an aux option.

The minuscule difference is not worth the convenience of them long a*s cords that get tangled and stuck to things .
If you have ear phones you can just run the cord under your shirt and take them in and out of your ears as you please.

I have buds but my note 10+ did come with a nice pair of threaded wires earbuds.

When the iPhone 7 came out with no headphone jack I got a 6S Plus because I wasn't trying to go Bluetooth. Nowni have a Note 9, still has the jack and 99% of the time I'm on Bluetooth headphones. Car is Bluetooth connection, Bluetooth to the laptop a lot of the times also.
I'm not addicted to audio so I'm not going crazy over this supposed drop in sound quality.

I'm sure they've debunked that reason for all the current phones out now. The headphone jack could have easily been included on all the new phones. Maybe the future ones perhaps

Yeah I got AirPods. They cool. But my work WiFi causes mad interference sometimes. Then when the battery gets low I gotta charge em. Which doesnt take long but still. So I keep the wired headphones on me for now as long as I got the iPhone 6.

This is why I just bought a 2017 iPad Pro that will be permanently stuck on iOS 12.3.1 with all my auv3’s and BM3 for producing. Can’t make beats with Bluetooth headphones, it’s impossible with the latency Bluetooth injects, and I don’t always want to carry an interface around.
