Build PC or buy Pre-Built black friday ?

So I am pretty new to building a pc, but as I was choosing parts for my own pc i realized there was a black friday deal for a pc with similar specs and a little cheaper. Had me asking the question....Would it be better to still build my own pc? or just buy a pre-built pc? also does upgrading matter on pre-built like can I easily upgrade the parts in it im a*suming that is the difference because of the motherboard? I would say my budget is $1200 max. But i do like the rgb. I want to future proof somewhat and I want to run most games at 1080p 120+fps.

Office depot has one a ibuypower black friday for 999.99 (reg 1129.99)

 https://www.officedepot.c .. op-PC-9th-Gen/

only 8gb ram but another 8gb would be about $40 right?

An i5 processor? Not for that much bread. And you said 120fps at 1080p.

AMD and Nividia has features to where you can enhance the resolution. I have a 700$ gaming laptop, gaming in 4k. But on some games, the fps will drop.

If I were you I would settle for 90fps in 4k. You should build because it would be cheaper.

If you have the knowlegde, go and build something. When you pay for something prebuilt, your basically paying for labor.

My laptop came with 8gb. I paid 30 bucks for another 8gb of ram now I have 16.

But lets say I bought a version of this computer that already had 16gb, it would be a good 100$ extra.

You got a nice bag, gone ahead and build you something nice.

Build. The PC Builder thread in this section helped me build mine a few years back. Those guys are trustworthy and know what they’re talking about.

the only reason you dont build yourself is if you have low experience and confidence. if you feel better having it done for you then do that. also i completely agree with staying at 1080p if you want to play multiplayer games or just prefer smooth gameplay

i have access to 2k and 4k and still prefer 1080 @240hz

I think you might even beable to buy the PC parts and PAY someone at a pc shop to put it together for you properly and still save money or atleast still come out with a better price to performance ratio

I remember my first pre-built. The cheap a*s PSU shorted out the motherboard. Good times.

Nice little buid.

To anyone looking at Nvidia for GPUs, always get the SUPER edition.

Power supply shows only 500w 80+bronze and motherboard could vary.

So how long could this even last? cpu and graphics are near top but would i be able to upgrade the mobo or power supply ?

I chose the hybrid approach of getting all the parts and outsourcing the build labor

Build your own or someone to build it for you.

That way you know what's in your PC and you know what will needed to be upgraded later or so forth.

9 out of 10 times.... building will be cheaper. Sometimes Systems Integrators do run promotions and you can get yourself a heck of a deal if you do go that route.

But building you can build how exactly you want with the parts you want. Like a mvme ssd gen 4 ( tho it works with current x570 boards)
