We're in 2020 and the future is to a certain degree predictable....

That said I think the following are going to be mindblowing to the younger generations of movie fans that start immersing themselves in where we've gone with stories the last 20 yrs

Terminator 2: Judgement Day

The CGI in the movie was so ahead of it's time that it looks like it could have been made recently

Avoiding the obvious classics that I always mention in these type of threads...

Have: Enemy of the State, Vanilla Sky, 187, Philadelphia, The Green Mile, The Fugitive, The Mask, The Truman Show

Will in time: The Prestige, Get Out, Wolf of Wallstreet, Django Unchained, k*ll Bill Vol.1, Argo, No Country For Old Men, Looper, Night Crawler, A Quiet Place

There are plenty of films which fall under this category but these off the top.

And last but not least

youve got good taste in future classics.... Batman v Superman is too underrated.. arguably the best comic movie of the 2010s. The Directors Cut at least

Pretty impressed with your pics i love all those movies A LOT. As for the subject i could write a whole thesis on it.

But i will stick to something I noticed recently. “I’m Still here” is a monumental docudrama/mockumentary that I have loved and been fascinated since i heard about it over a decade ago and still watch it regularly and no surprise connection to how it became available on amazon prime after JP winning the oscar recently, but it’s even on amazon prime here in JAPAN uncensored full frontal nudity and all which is strange any genitals are suppose to be blurred, but watching it with Japanese friends was a trip they liked the joker and didn’t know much of JP before, the doc has always been great to me but I finally realized how truly trendsetting and deep it is. Also his raps were legit on that sh*t and could have a career in this weirdo climate of rap for reals.

Yea man you are pretty much hitting all the future stuff on the head for me. Wall-E is a big one that cameout when I was in like my late teens early 20s where I couldn’t be further from liking anything disny/pixar. I am still surprised that sh*t cameout. For me that doc/mockunentary hit on a lot of sh*t going on now tho a decade ago. The ugly look into celebrity and things that are super popular today live streaming and general degeneracy and that was coming off him being America’s sweetheart on ‘Walk the Line’

You're spot on about Wall E. It came out and was allowed because Disney knew on the surface level it would make 1/4 of a billion dollars. All about the $$ for them. They'll let the bigger undercurrents slide for that.

And if you agree with some of the picks in here then (and this isn't a shameless plug but w/e) you should check out my podcast.

FILM ROOM.

Me and my boy break down every movie we speak on through a rabbit hole I think you'll relate to.
