I didnít say it wasnít.

But, to get REALLY dark for a second.

You understand thatís the bar right ? That show is one of the greatest storyís ever told and shows ever produced.

And itís about the seedy underbelly of the steeet drug trade where black people are shown being imprisoned, k*lling each other, poisoning each other, k*lling children, showing the corruption of youth.

And yes itís built on real life sh*t....

But do you see the issue there ?

Itís shown for entertainment, and n*ggas swear and revel in how ďgreatĒ the show is in all the wrong ways instead of what actually makes it great.

A lot of n*ggas on here fu*k with it cause itís on some street drug real n*gga sh*t. Not because itís a deeply engaging character study of an ensemble cast dealing with objectives and the twists and turns of their journeys for power, betterment, redemption, and purpose among other things.

Thatís why the whole wave around power is fuxking nasty, especially if you know anything about 50 cent.

All he did was make the crack that Shonda Rhimes was pushing for bi*ches and apply it to tv for n*ggas.

50 was a drug dealer. A good one.

Heís now making millions applying the same mental process to producing entertainment. Heís a cunning and calculating man, not to d*ck ride.

Heís selling you something that will keep you coming back for more, does this not sound familiar ? to provide you an experience you canít get anywhere else, does this not sound familiar ?

Yíall donít be reading up on people or paying attention to how they move at all.

But I digress. Yes, the Wire is a great show. Nobody attesting that.
aye man.. art imitates life, imitates art..

you're right about the content of the wire, but when it comes story telling, there needs to be protagonists, antagonists, a climax..

the wire and power gave viewers that, with content they could relate to.. and we ARE their intended audience.. can't be making some "notebook" type sh*t and expect to hold viewers

from what i gather, you just want to see black people portrayed in a better light, correct me if i'm wrong..

if so, then in my humble opinion, u should just be looking for better protagonists.. but as far as the story is concerned, such is life!

we live in poverty, we have crackheads in our neighborhood, violence, all that..

we also come up out of those situations and make something out of ourselves, u hear the story all the time.. you've seen the LeBron commercial about humble beginnings..

so if you're gonna create a show, you're either gonna create a fairy tale.. or you're gonna make some trash.. or you're capture the gritty reality of it all, and create something like the wire..

Damn I forgot all about that Kat was talking about how ugly Rel is(no homo) and how hollyweird keeps giving him so much work because they dont want alpha attractive black men with game who look like they can fu*k everybody's girl. I know that sh*t burned Rels soul because even if he lost weight and got contacts he knows in his heart he would still be considered a lifetime uglygang member and no women who didn't recognize him and think he has money would be throwing pu**y at him. Katt gets in trouble for stating facts and hollyweirdos and lgbtq /feminism agenda pushers don't like it.
So you want to fu*k a a male comedian you find attractive? fu*king weird a*s n*ggas. Katt might be bis*xual himself as feminine as he is. I mean what straight male comments on a man's facial features in detail like you or Katt? Rhymes with mag.
