I only lived in that neighborhood for one school year summer of 97 to august of 98 and I had a blast 4th grade year lol. Damn it was easy to make friends back then. Nothing but gamers my age in the whole complex

Arguable. Mario Kart 64 is more popular, but DKR had more gameplay variety (it was the first [and only?] racing game that had an Adventure Mode of sorts and 3D platformer-like hub level) which helped to further separate the two.

I got mine on Christmas in 2000 (I know. late) All we needed was Mario Kart, Goldeneye, Wrestlemania 2000, Madden 64 (I preferred "World is not enough" over Goldeneye but it dont matter to me) Nowadays games cant keep our attention for more than a few weeks and a couple updates. We used to play the same games for years.

N64 was a revolution when it came out, Mario 64 pioneered 3D games. I remember trying to learn how to play in 3D with that analog stick. Good times!

platz30000 said man i missed the days where consoles were somewhat affordable, and not raise your blood pressure when the launch price is announced, but more importantly i miss when u actually buy the game with the game already in it so u can just slap it in and start playing right away, no DLC or online connection required to enjoy the rest of your day on your couch. and plus, inviting your friends over and playing during the weekend was much better and more fun than online multiplaying. but...the past is the past .....

Not that $200 back then was the equivalent to $400 now. Trust me parents was batching bout that. This back when people were making 4.89 an hour.
