Love Marcus. I had it since it was GE. I don't really fu*k w/ the other ones unless it's reputable. Oh yeah, Marcus has free outgoing and incoming wires. Too useful.

I just got SoFi money recently too. It's a hybrid checking/savings account that also offers 2.25%. Hit me up for a referral, we get $50 a piece.

Call me old school, but I'd rather keep my funds at my local credit unions.

Their money market pays only 1%, but I can withdraw my money whenever i want.

I don't have to wait on a tranfer or call customer service (some guy in india) if they hold my funds due to whatever reason they pull out of their a*s.

I generally hold $50k cash or better in my accounts
You're holding 50k over multiple accounts, or 50k in each of your accounts?

Regardless, what scenario do you see yourself in where you need that much money at one instant? Second, do you know how much interest you are losing just because you want 'immediate' access to your funds?

If I were you, I'd keep like 15K in my credit union, and put all the rest in high interest saving/money market accounts (I use AMEX Savings), and rack up on the interest. Just my 2 cents.

I got it Spread around.

I sell certain products online and generally see 20%-25% roi monthly ( sometimes it takes a few months) on my capital.

I’m just holding some cash because I think the economy is going to fu*k up again. It feels like 2007 to me again.

I really wish retail banks had better interest rates man. Chase is terrible.

I had to diversify some savings Im using HSBC direct and chase premier savings.

I just deposited $43k opening a new savings account with them simply because ive been a checking customer for years and i wanted to build a relationship with them saving in the event i ever needed a loan etc. in 2 months ive only netted 90cents in interest. LOOL its a fuking joke.

I might have to go all in with online banking.
