The Egyptians I've encountered say that they aren't African. They say that they are Middle Eastern. So, I would just refrain from claiming Egypt altogether and just appreciate the history. If my father was Michael Jordan, and I was a moderately successful college player, who went on to play overseas - I'd be embarrassed for anyone to know my father is Michael Jordan.

If Michael Jordan is my father, I'd have to at least be Demar Derozan level to not feel ashamed that that's my pops.
