He took the beginning of the last verse from Bun B so I wouldn't say he didn't do it intentionally.

Ice T need to stop with this childish behavior. He got paid. How many artist say "I got this hit from sampling so and so " or did Eminem say in all interviews toy soldier was done by a white girl I just jacked the chorus. Our did Lil uzi very say he jacked the beat and chorus from his hit "the way life goes" from landslide. How many artist actually acknowledge where they steal from

hov consciously chooses not to go back and forth with n*ggas cause cats complain about him publicly all day long but he never does the same about anybody. i respect that. for example you can't tell me hov couldn't air out dames dirty laundry if he wanted to. n*gga just ignores n*ggas and handles his business

What’s crazy is on his Fade To Black documentary Jay did a whole segment of when he recorded “99 Problems” at Rick Rubin’s mansion even shouting him & Mike D of the Beastie Boys out who was there for being “architects” who inspired him as a kid to rap but not once mentioned Ice-T who not only is the architect of Gangster Rap but the very inspiration for the song he was recording. However I still don’t think never mentioning Ice was malicious on Jay’s part just more of a huge oversight.

It’s not remotely the same song. Jay just took the chorus from what I’m hearing. And people don’t understand that hip hop has been doing this forever. People listen to other music and get inspired and formulate ideas. The tracks and vocals get used as paying homage to the original. I remember when Canibus said “ I chop off heads just to take the necklace” Then Jada came with “I chop your fu*king hand off if your pinky ring is hot” I’m sure other rappers had a variation that line too. You don’t hear Canibus years later bi*ching about how his lines were taken. That’s the culture. You said some sh*t and it was dope. Somebody gonna try to out do you.

The toxicity circulating your being has to be so high for you to just wake up and think up something like this.. it’s disgusting really. There is a saying, “all great artist steal”. This is widely known and nobody. People constantly trying to reinvent the wheel and wondering why someone is more ahead than they are. Jay is smart. You have to have some level of intelligence to take a few words and make a whole song out of a few words. Lol

It’s not stealing it’s homage ..it’s on the consumer for being dumb af and not knowing music and where sh*t come from
So is max b a stealer and a vulture bc alot of hooks he did were straight up 80s covers? To me it’s homage and it’s no different than sampling for producers ..take something old and make some New sh*t with it Intention is the difference between stealing and homage Led Zeppelin are thief’s Drake and jay z be paying homage (most the time lol) |
